Back in the days, you really had to be that talented to get the ball to where it needed to be because as a QB, you are gonna get hit, and your passes needed to be where they had to be in order to make the play or it will be a 6 FREAKIN PICKIN all day long!!

I don't think Marino was the only QB to put the ball where it needed to be

He was able to get away with some of his flaws by having a quick release

My apology for not posting the 20 QBs who were able to put the ball where it needed to be, but I was making a point in regards to Dan Marino's quick release and how it is 2nd to none..

.. by the way, what flaws of Marino are you talking about??

he wasn't a cerebral throw it to spot guy...he was a vision guy. If you got open he hit you
Actually, Dan was known to be a gun slingger... he did not shy away from any type of coverage.. the guy will challenged his WR to come up w/the ball even if he's well covered..

he will force the ball in there and expect you to adjust and come up with the ball..

all Dan needed was a small window and he'll get the ball there.. not even Elway and his great arm was able to do it the way Dan was able to..

if they didn't have vision..how would they know to see something they can gamble on ?

Marino scanned the field more then going through progressions.

Your version of gunslinger making marino sound like was Brett Favre
huh???

you're confuse.. .Marino did not need his targets to be open, he just knew that he can get the ball there because of his strong arm.. he expected his WRs to come up w/the ball after firing it to them..

and yes, he and Favre belongs to the same GUNSLINGER category...

and also, all QBs have vision.. duhhhhhhh...

man, go to slepp already!!

and oh, by the way, Gunslingers are called gunslingers because they gamble more so than other QBs..
