Yeah, Jones' looked pretty bad. I bet that's a high ankle sprain. I'm guessing we don't see him until the playoffs. And with Taylor guaranteed out a couple weeks and Day sucking ass, Street just might have to be active. He does play inside now.

I assume we'll hear more about the injuries sometime today.

I will be surprised if they IR Taylor. They need DL bodies to stop the run for a playoff run. Even if the injury means he can't play the rest of the regular season, they should keep him on the active roster. Then again, Shanahan hasn't been the best source for accurate injury timeline projections. I think Hurd may have died over two months ago and they're just not telling us.

If Jones can't go, I'd guess they cut McLaughlin to make room for Givens or Street.

He's a pretty tough dude. Today is probably the day he really feels it (like Kittle). Like OTC said, we might find out some more today but even then, like you said, Kyle is not a good source of accurate information here. Thursday and Friday practices are the best source.

I won't be surprised if they IR Taylor. Torn elbow ligament for a 300lb DT is a major disadvantage. Of course it comes down to how badly torn it is but I can't see him being effective even if he does come back. They have a completely healthy Street and Givens to turn to.

One of the beat writers said he's certainly got a noticeable limp and he admitted he's really sore and Kyle might have to protect him from himself. It does sound like Tartt can play but it'll be pain management. But he's clearly not going to be 100% in a pivotal game.

I just don't think Sherm plays. Kinda surprised they did not activate Verrett. They could probably waive Toilolo and he would still be available for resigning if needed.

Well, they resigned Exum Jr. Tartt is probably out. No extra CB yet. Sherman already had trouble cutting before his injury. Hope he doesn't play if he is really compromised.

Seems Sherman was not as injured as he initially appeared maybe? Didn't miss practice today. Exum's signing certainly appears to signal Tartt being out. Revised inactives list:

I am not sure they go into the game without a 3rd true Edge Rusher. Tough call though AA can rotate out there instead of moving inside on some passing downs. But I like him on the inside on passing downs as often as possible. Maybe Day sits this one out with Street probably being the better run defender.
