Toilolo unless they put J. Taylor on IR

I'd hate to waive Toilolo, but I'd hate to lose Jullian Taylor for the season. It's gonna be a tough one IMO.

While I think they would be able to resign Toilolo easy enough, I am not sure why Shanahan prefers Celek. Why do you thing that may be?

I remember in 2017 when it was looking like Celek was on his way out, an article came out during camp that Kyle preferred Celek, he always wanted to get his hands on him, I guess that's why he likes him so much, he's coveted him, like with Sanders.

This. No doubt Kyle gets locked in on his guys including coaches...for better or for worse.

That he does do a prime example of that is Tevin Coleman as the starting running back.

Yeah he does, but I think all coaches have their favorites. I think Dwelley's emergence with Kittle out makes it harder for Toilolo to be active over either Celek or Dwelley.

Coleman's earned that spot with Breida out, he's been a good back, he doesn't have the rushing yard numbers that Breida or Mostert had, but his pass catching skills are top notch. Plus we've seen Kyle go with the hot hand, he did it with Mostert, just wish he ran on that 4th and 1, and now thrown in the rain, Mostert was on FIRE.

Coleman has been struggling lately... he may be banged up

He needs rest, maybe sitting him a game. Gets him back to form

We wouldn't miss a beat if Brieda, Mostert and Wilson are healthy. Coleman hasn't done much as a receiver

Ohh you'll definitely miss Coleman.

I think fans undervalue Brieda and company

Coleman is a good receiving back and pass protector. He lacks the vision and patience of Brieda and Coleman. I think he should be relegated to 3rd down back.
While I agree Mostert looks like a real gem and stud in the making, I like the RB by committee approach we're using. Best to not over use 1 back, only if he's hot like Mostert was Sunday.
All this talk about Brieda, Coleman, Wilson Jr., and Mostert is great but I wonder if we had Jet for like half the season what would the offense look like.
