He's always been a huge fan...same with Berman. But yeah, Dilfer couldn't even contain himself...but he was just in his comments. CK has made a ton of improvements and it is good to get a perspective from a former Niner QB.

I know and it completely baffles me they still don't get it even after seeing what happened Monday night. Mike Golic was just now on his ESPN morning show continuing to express the national media hyperbolic narrative of the players no longer on the 49ers. This guy is an ex-player and was in utter amazement at how they could be any good. He and the other Mike repeated the same old tired phrases, "Lost everyone on defense" or "decimated defense". It's like they couldn't even wrap their minds around how a team could seemingly lose all those players and not be like high school level masquerading as an NFL squad. I mean, they saw the Niners play with their own f**king eyes and still act like there's no way they can possibly field a team of quality NFL personnel on both sides of the ball. The whole thing would be quite hilarious if it wasn't so damn pathetic.

That's why I don't listen to the talking heads. I listen to the Matt's and that's about it. Nationally, no one knows what's going on.

Well I'm watching NFLNetwork and waiting to see if they are gonna give the niners some love. As soon as I turned it on though, all AP and the night that he had and it was just a down game and he'll be back....blah blah blah

Yep, followed by Des Bryant's broken foot and how that will be the downfall of the entire NFL and how we should all be crying. Christ

I believed Dilfer cried that last game in 07 when he got hurt and I think we then had to go to chris weinke (bad times). He obviously enjoyed his 2 years with the 9ers and he's from the area and still lives out there so he's a bit of a homer. Same with Tim Ryan and that's how he got to be 9ers preseason broadcaster because he lives in the area and knows so much about the team. As far as Boomer he's obviously been a fan since the 90s or earlier. To be fair to the vikings fans did they really do that much to deserve praise? They gave up like 200 yards rushing to Hyde/Kap; their d kept them in it for awhile but their offense and run game didnt do anything. 250 yards for bridgewater but 50 of them came right before half with us playing off 20-30 yards. 30 yards for peterson too... nothing to praise them about really. Side note there is a reason Dilfer/Boomer only do the opening 2nd mnf game anyways. It's not like they are a regular team.

I had no idea the OL could even play that well. Refs kept calling brutal penalties esp. once we started gaining momentum and they continued to overcome those touchy penalties. I'm very very impressed. The ZBS is epic for Hyde and Hayne and it will be also for Davis and Bush once he gets back.

haha I'm not ready to agree with that after the first game. Devey could have easily been called for holding on Hyde's spin move TD

Now I see it, you're right. Maybe the refs tried to make it up to us after Ellington's TD was called back.

Staley was called so this happens with the best of them. It's a matter of how often the flags are thrown and the refs let them play last night...for the most part. Pears was much better in space than Boone is so I'm OK with him at RT now!

Even if they get Chancellor back, their OL is still in shambles. Granted they played the Rams though. The Vikings DL isn't the Rams DL. Eventually we'll see just how good our OL is.
