I bet ya the niners bounce back and win that game.

I agree 100% we will bounce back this game wasn't as bad if our offense started to throw more

Do people not realize the success we had throwing the 2nd half was because Pittsburgh just stopped caring on defense they hardly brought pressure too. We couldn't do shot when the gane mattered

They will have to keep someone in over the top on him.

But MOST importantly, they need to force Palmer to move. They cannot afford to let Palmer sit back and chuck the football around.

Agreed. No sacks on Big Ben. Not sure if he was even hit.

Fangio's d was top notch because he always kept guys on coverage, rushed four all the time. We all knew mangini's D was gonna give up stuff
Defense stayed in Cali

Garbage time stats

Exactly. Everyones like, "look how great we look now". Why can't we look like this all game? Simple, Steelers aren't really playing hard anymore. The game is in the bag.

But people will look at the stats and say SEE we need to do this Kap can do that blah blah blah

Yeah there's some context here and no doubt PIT eased up once the game was comfortable. But Kap has looked fine all day. There are a lot of crappy performances in this game, but Kap was not one of them.

That's exactly right. What concerns me is the pattern that this game revealed. Teams will pin their ears back and either blitz, or they will beat our o-line 1-1. That's the most concerting part, and it requires a very solid scheme to overcome. How we start against Arizona next week is going to say a lot about that.

The fact that we made absolutely no adjustments on offense or defense today, tells me all we need to know about our coaching staff. How many times did we run the outside toss to Hyde for no yards? How many times did we try to pass beyond 5 yards in the first 3 quarters? And for the love of all this is pure and right, can we please put someone over the top of A.Brown? What would possess a coach to think we could defend Brown with a rookie or safety? Reid doesn't suck, we just put him in sucky positions.

Kap played well through out but you're right. I think success in the second will be good for Kap's confidence though.
Haley powned Mangini. They made it look easy. Had guys wide open all day. They had some penalties and it didn't even phase them.

Garbage time or not, 49ers need to sh**can the "let's run Hyde 30x per game" offense... their defense just isn't that good, they need chunk yardage and scoring TDs, not 15-play drives that end in FG attempts. That doesn't necessarily mean throw 50x/game, but they do need to open it up, let CK play.

You truly believe that's gonna happen,

Going to be dogs in at least the next 9 games....

Kaep was the lone bright spot of the entire day, and Torrey somewhat as well. Feel waited far too long to start passing the ball. Kaep set career records for completions and attempts today and his completion percentage was really high even with several drops by the receivers.

I agree, Kap looked good so did T Smith. Father time may have caught Boldin though. We should have drafted DGB when we had the chance.
