SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at PITTSBURGH STEELERS - 2015 Week 2

On to Arizona. We win that game and we put ourselves in a good position. But every game will be tough and our D needs to improve ... Pronto.

Liked what I saw with the offense at times but same mistakes - penalties in red zone and inability to score TDs. This has been our problem for 10 years. Not just on Kap. But he showed today that we shouldn't be afraid to open it up a bit. He has progressed in my opinion.

Bad defensive scheme and our safeties were terrible. Bad routes on the ball, blown coverage. How does Wilhoite get left one on one with a receiver 35 yards down field??? No pressure on the QB. Either bring the house or rush four and play two deep. This mixed coverage crap didn't fool Ben. And it won't fool Palmer or Rodgers.

Could be that we just don't actually have that much talent.

I disagree. Aside from the OL issues, we have talent on both sides of the ball. I think the playcalling was horrible today.

But we gotta win with class though

Bonehead Jed will regret saying that till he dies
F**king stupid, you take wins any way you can get them and from whomever gives you them. I can understand cutting aldon after we gave him 5 chances but it shouldn't stop you from drafting or signing a guy with character concerns. There are guys who actually turn their lives around.
steelers just showed that winning with class does not mean jack sht today.
We totally got raped with class today if that's what Jed prefers
I am more concerned by our lack of pass rush that today made out secondary look awful. Big Ben looked pretty comfortable in the pocket all day.

srsly. Do they know how to tackle without torpedoing into a guys knee? They did it constantly, and it frequently happened when our guy was already wrapped up, unable to defend himself.

Have you seen him play? He has been their worst OL by far. He has been Chilo Rachal bad.

Are you serious???

this isnt an easy division to say its ok guys, next week will be fine. we are going against a better cardinals team and if the 49ers dont get the stuff fix, then we are going to get left behind.

It is right now dude. If we win next week we are in the fricking driver's seat!

John Brown is going to feast

They will have to keep someone in over the top on him.

But MOST importantly, they need to force Palmer to move. They cannot afford to let Palmer sit back and chuck the football around.

Agreed. No sacks on Big Ben. Not sure if he was even hit.

Fangio's d was top notch because he always kept guys on coverage, rushed four all the time. We all knew mangini's D was gonna give up stuff

This is true

Mangini's D can't get to the QB with 4. Fangio's D could in some situations. Otherwise Mangini's D is gonna give up big plays.

It's perfectly fine to be upset about a loss like this. The fact that people are basically saying the season is over and how terrible the team and coaches are is total bandwagon b******t.

This. You can tell some were eagerly waiting for their moment.

it would be a miracle to see the 49ers turn it around IF they do go 1-3. no one said the season is over. everyone said that IF they can't fix this, then it is over.

Hello? Exactly! The voice of reason!

I for one -- was extremely encouraged by the fact that this team showed no quit down the stretch. Did the Steelers expose a few problems with the pass defense? They most certainly did! Can those problems be fixed? I'm positive that the coaching staff, to a man, will say YES. Mangini can do it -- and notice -- he's no longer Mangenious.

You only get the genius tag after you win. This rule even applied to the late, great Bill Walsh, the original, forever all-time, 49er genius.

Any examples? We have taken character risks, and will continue to do so. Signed Perrish Cox. Signed Jerome Simpson. Drafted Aaron Lynch. It's a calculated risk. Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't.

You understand the decision to cut Aldon, so what are we complaining about exactly? People need to let go of the "win with class" comment.
