It's not an easy division, and the Cardinals look good today, but one thing I will say about this loss is that it was mostly mental breakdowns. Blown coverages and dropped balls in big situations killed any chance we had. Steelers caught a lot of breaks from our offense dropping balls, and fumbling. They just capitalized better than Minnesota did.

I am willing to be optimistic considering the circumstances. Steelers had ten days to prepare for a home game against an inexperienced team on a short week of practice. Thank the league's schedule makers for that
Also Peterson went off today

Collapsed very much like Tiger today, except without the high-priced hookers.

We are gonna get killed in Az next week. This offense is horrible. But it's like what else is new. Again we have so much talent on offense thats not being used right.

Could be that we just don't actually have that much talent.

I disagree. Aside from the OL issues, we have talent on both sides of the ball. I think the playcalling was horrible today.
This, talent is there. From center to the right side of the oline is where we're missing talent and the lack of execution killed us. Team was sleep walking all game especially on the defensive side, it's inexcusable how you let the possible best wr in the game continue to get open and not double him after realizing single covering him isn't gonna work

THIS x50!!

Mancini needs to throw away those blitzing plays when it come to elite QB's because the moment Ben noticed Reid was in the box he just went deep because Browns crazy speed was enough to blow the top off.

Mangini's D can't get to the QB with 4. Fangio's D could in some situations. Otherwise Mangini's D is gonna give up big plays.

Fangios D generally couldnt do dick without Aldon in there.

absolutely correct, coaches lost this game today

Players did to. They did not have the quickness they had against the Vikes. They just seemed sluggish. I know their not using the time-zone cross country trip as an excuse but cleary it played a part in it.

srsly. Do they know how to tackle without torpedoing into a guys knee? They did it constantly, and it frequently happened when our guy was already wrapped up, unable to defend himself.

Yup!

That would be an upgrade for us. You really think he would be worse? lol not a chance

Absolutely. That you dont know how bad he has been speaks volumes.

And the 49ers biggest issue is at center. He does jack crap to help that.

Notice -- I haven't heard Aldon's name called once during today's Raider broadcast. You're right. The Aldon of old made Fangio's D look real good.

That Aldon doesn't exist anymore.

Even with Aldon, Justin was the key. Aldon couldn't do anything when Justin wasn't healthy.

Yes, but balkee would of drafted some guy from an unknown school anyways...

It doesn't matter who is at CB if the QB has forever to throw. Reid was late in coverage on one play, Bethea let Heyward-Bey go past him, other than that guys have been in good position, its just that Big Ben is tossing throws on a dime and receivers like Brown are making incredible catches.

Need more pressure coming from upfront.

What? Brown just blew buy the CB back like he was standing still, lol. The only reason it was a good catch is because he had to slow down and wait for the pass because he had him beat by 2-3 steps. No more excuses.

Aldon flat out just didn't get off blocks anymore. It goes beyond just missing Justin Smith. Aldon used to make plenty of plays on his own, but not anymore. He's just a warm body out there.
Tomsula looked like a defensive line coach today, he looked utterly confused by most of what took place.
