Absolutely. That you dont know how bad he has been speaks volumes.

And the 49ers biggest issue is at center. He does jack crap to help that.

maybe he has better coaching/scheme here

That's the excuse I hear about all s**tty FA that come here to explain why their previous garbage shouldn't matter

Mathis was a desired commodity, Devey was not. Fact.

Fangios D generally couldnt do dick without Aldon in there.

True, but they had the field covered and didn't give up big plays, hence the top 5 position every year. Mangini's D is gonna give up coverage at times. High risk High reward D, and today we saw the high risk part of it. The next 2 weeks Mangini is gonna have to pick and choose the right situations to Blitz because your facing Palmer and Rodgers who can beat the blitz like Ben does.

AZ scored 48 today...yes it was against Chicago but the fact is they were able to put up that many points. Niners have faced both average D's the past 2 weeks and managed at least 20 in each game. AZ's D is better than the niner D right now, lets face it.

Don't blame Tomsula, blame Geep and Eric. They call the plays.
Wow, Ben had a 155.8 rating against us. Our defense is pathetic.
I think it's b******t they make west coast teams play at 10am. When playing in the east it should be 4pm eastern time kickoff

I think Eric knows. He will adjust
Our coaching staff didn't know what to do today.

Don't think it would of made a difference had Fangio been here or not. See Denver's game last year, if there is no pass rush a good QB is gonna make our D look remedial regardless. There were plenty of games last year where the D couldn't get off the field on 3rd down.

Yeah. Tomsula collects the underwear. Can't blame him.

We are gonna get killed in Az next week. This offense is horrible. But it's like what else is new. Again we have so much talent on offense thats not being used right.

Could be that we just don't actually have that much talent.

I disagree. Aside from the OL issues, we have talent on both sides of the ball. I think the playcalling was horrible today.

absolutely correct, coaches lost this game today

Players did to. They did not have the quickness they had against the Vikes. They just seemed sluggish. I know their not using the time-zone cross country trip as an excuse but cleary it played a part in it.

yeah Wilhoite definitely looked sluggish when he was 30 yards deep on Wheaton, so did Dontae Johnson trying to cover DHB despite a .2+ differential in 40 times

I'm more concerned with next week where we at least have a fighting chance

I don't care about the time zone so much as the difference in preparation. Pittsburgh got ten days to prep for this team. We had to play the late Monday Night game, then travel. They had three practices before this game. For a young team still learning the scheme, this should've been expected.

If they play like they did today, not so sure. Mangini is gonna have to do a better job at calling blitz packages though because Palmer to Fitz had 3 TD's today. Not sure if that was against blitzes but right now don't know if we have anyone that can cover Fitz on a slant route
