131.5 hours of rest vs a team with 228.5 hours of rest. 121.5 hours if you take away the travel time. Not really surprised with the outcome. We looked fatigued, and slow. Learn move on. Beat Arizona.

Everyone looked so slow. 180 from Monday night. Same concept when we had to play the Ravens on a short week a couple years back. It's no excuse but these losses are well documented/tended.

I still felt like if we could have established the running game we had a chance. 3 strikes later we have to throw the gameplan out.

We got whooped to every snap and in coaching as well.

Reset.

bey beat wilhoite.

When you do the breakdown look for individual players f**king up. I really want to know who needs to be replaced.

the plan needs to be replaced. brown is on a historic run. he does this to EVERYONE. he has 150 yards and a touchdown on his off games. so. you need to roll coverage to him straight up every time. don't be cute with it. just be obvious with it. we weren't. it made for a lot of bad angles and passing him off to safeties and such instead of just sticking to him like glue.

we really should have made haywood bey and heath beat us.

LOL

Boreland was retiring no matter what. He's practically anti-NFL at this point.

Justin Smith was retiring no matter what. If he was gonna stick around for a coach he respects it would have been Tomsula.

Willis was retiring no matter what. His foot injuries had been nagging him for almost three years.

So, 3 retirements on the defense, and zero from Fangio leaving.

Just a bad gameplan on both sides of the ball
I don't get it. We have Tartt and Ward and didn't use either of them? What kind of dumb s**t is that?

right. that was the bad mangenius
we saw good we saw bad. let's hope he reverts back to being solid every week instead of being a mad scientist.

roll coverage. put tartt on someone this game is slightly different. we would get them to 3rd down all the time. and then give up a 40+ yard play.

Anybody have any thoughts on red zone offense? Seems just as sh*TTy as with roman. Just looking at the drive charts it looks filthy incredible.

It wasn't on Geep. Our first red zone trip pears had a hold so it was 1st and goal from the 20, then we had a sack and we ended up 3rd and goal from like the 30 so we had to settle for the field goal. Another trip Bruce miller dropped a TD on 4th down. Came away with no points on that one. Another trip was the Boldin TD pass, so that was a success. Our final drive with like 3 mins left we turned it over on downs on the Kap TD reversal run.
Overall I would say penalties, dropped passes, and execution were more the problem than play calls in the RZ.
Kaepernick was very very good, aside from an almost fumble due to Staley running into him (so many guys running into, tripping over, etc. today -- RIDICULOUS). In a bad game for the team, Kaepernick for once was not a big part of the problem. The sacks he got were from 4 out of 5 OL deciding to not block. Nothing he can do about that. There was no where to go with the ball and/or he didn't have enough time.

Kaepernick protected the ball so much better, we just had WAY too many mistakes from other players. Hyde and Davis looked shaky and insecure with the ball. Boldin, Vernon, and others had critical drops. The entire OL played horrendous not just in protection but in taking awful penalties to take good drives and turn them into nothing.

The lack of pass rush and the allowance of Pittsburgh's front 7 to dominate our LOS is a significant reason why we lost. The CBs for some reason were letting WRs run free and our safeties repeatedly misjudged the speed of the Steelers receivers and blew assignments helping over the top. Perhaps this is one of the growing pains of the system change..

Torrey looked great.

Devey got destroyed all game
Same as week 1. We couldn't get a pass rush without blitzing which you can get away with playing an average team with a 2nd yr QB like Minn but good teams with good QB's will make you pay too often when you blitz and chew you up when you don't and they have a ton of time.

This was painful to watch. I am hoping for the playoffs but it keeps looking more and more like a transition year.

That was the first game only. For example, today Torrey had 6 reception. (Plus a 2-pt reception)
