Thanks. Spreading the ball around nicely, and good % marks. Just need the o-line to do their part......

bey beat wilhoite.
When you do the breakdown look for individual players f**king up. I really want to know who needs to be replaced.
the plan needs to be replaced. brown is on a historic run. he does this to EVERYONE. he has 150 yards and a touchdown on his off games. so. you need to roll coverage to him straight up every time. don't be cute with it. just be obvious with it. we weren't. it made for a lot of bad angles and passing him off to safeties and such instead of just sticking to him like glue.
we really should have made haywood bey and heath beat us.
Agreed. The gameplan for Antonio Brown was really bad. Yes he's elite and you're not going to shut him down but the coverage on him just seemed way too lethargic.

Sadly I have to admit...you are 100% right. Who knew there was someone out there worse that Kwamie?
At this point, why not play the rookie Brown?

It's just one game, but very concerning. One more performance like that will surely see a change on the o-line. It's not all Pears fault, I would argue Martin and Devey were worse. We'll see where this goes. I have a strong feeling we'll see some shuffling at some point.

This game was one of the worst game I've seen in a long time. Even when we lost big with Harbaugh. I don't remember getting owned by the pass so badly. I don't remember our defense being so bad.
The only problem that seems similar is the bad OL play from last season. Which is crazy to think that a GM didn't draft OL high in the draft. Right? I mean everyone knew that OL was a big problem and that the 49ers should pick on high up. I guess Balkee didn't think our OL sucked and it was all on Keap or something. Just insane.
I hope we can bounce back but if we end up losing next week again I don't see us with a winning record this season. It's a big test next week that will tell us the big picture for the whole season.

Here's my take on the good, the bad, and the ugly.
The Good:
not much....but Kapernick played solid, when he had time to throw or scramble enough to run.
Torry Smith - HUGE upgrade over Crabtree
The Bad:
Carlos Hyde - Ball control. He didn't look like he had good ball security most of the game.
DBs - Acker looked bad, but he was playing against arguably the best WR in football. Brook looked lost at time. Reid taking poor angles on coverage.
The Ugly:
The O-Line is HORRIFIC! But, not surprising when you lose 2 first round picks in Iupati and Davis. If the 9ers knew they were going to lose as many players as they did, I think they would have re-signed Iupati. Pears is flat off HORRIBLE. How does he have a NFL career, let alone starting position?
ZERO...I mean ZERO QB pressure today.
Offensive play calling. What happened to the 3 TE formations from last week? What happened to the uptempo play calling? I felt like I was watching the 49ers of 2014.

The d seemed to limit that red dread lock rb a lot better than the pats did, but then were so bad against the pass.

Pears talent level has been plain-as-day visible since he got here, so it's no surprise.
The weird thing is 49er coaches think hes good.
The good: Kap is making strides as a QB. This can't be overlooked. We may loose out this season (I hope not) but he is building the foundation to be a great passer for the seasons to come. I saw a few touch throws that he would've broken fingers on a couple of years ago. Torrey Smith is, like others have said, a major upgrade on Crabtree.
The bad: the drops were bad and somewhat unusual, which actually gave me a little hope for next week. I remember Steve young in the famous Philly game when we got blowed out. That game was an abboration. Hopefully this one is. Both safeties looked way over matched. That to is unusual. I think they are trying to cover up the young CBs issues.
The ugly: Martin just needs to be deported. Not because he came from another country, just because if this continues he'll need witness protection from the local fans. That guy was being yelled at by his own teammates at one point. Pears and Devery suck to. I guess that's their name. I don't really want to learn it because I doubt we'll see much more of them unless they bounce back. The last of the ugly is the coaching. Jim only lost one east coast game during his four years. These guys couldn't carry his coaching bag today. I know when the homers watch their homes burn they just see an opportunity to live at a new prettier shelter on the nice side of town, but come on, JT got his rear handed to him today. Hopefully he turns it around. He deserves the chance...

the overreaction is ridiculous. you'd think most people just started watching football on this forum the way they jump to conclusions. it was a short week after the first game of the season against a tough opponent in their house who had over a week to plan for us. relax.
