a lot of people lost out on their suicide pools this week!

That's why I laugh when people pretend like a week two loss is the end of the world. If you want to believe that Joe Staley, Antoine Bethea, Eric Reid and Tramaine Brock will all have bad games week in and week out, then go ahead.

We love your support and dedication and positive outlook. You can teach a lot of 'fans' in here what's its like to be a real fan IMHO.

As to Hayne, and as the team goes, both will continue to grow each week and evolve. Hayne will get more and more confident in special teams as will the coaches in him. His biggest role for us will be on returns and in return coverages. You can have a long great career that way. The more and more he learns about the RB position, the better. He's off to a great start. He's had some nice runs already and the key to getting and staying on the field is pass protection and right now, he's gotten extra snaps over Mike Davis for that reason. We do need a great compliment to Hyde (so we don't burn him out) so that is why the coaches are trying out Davis while Reggie Bush is out.

Thanks mate appreciate it. Its going to be a really interesting season. Looking forward to seeing where Jarryd fits in and also how the team bounces back after the tough loss last week too.

It's a journey. As you guys know, sometimes one team comes out on fire and everything goes right and everything goes wrong for the other team and there is NOTHING you can do about it. That's sports! And if you look across the NFL, Week 2 was very odd...Jekyll and Hyde week. All the teams that got beat badly all bounced back and won the following week. Teams like the Hawks, Ravens, Giants, Eagles, etc. are all 0-2.

In short, it's just WAY too early to determine anything...no point in bashing the talent, FO, coaching, etc. Recognize it all in context. This week against the Cards (another tough matchup; similar to the Steelers) will give us additional insight as to who this team really is.

I don't remember who said it but i remember reading a coach once say something like "it takes 3-4 games to figure out who your team is"

especially with the new CBA off season rules.

and gore who has a zillion carries in his life, somehow just drops the ball. brees cutler and romo all hurt. teams like seattle and eagles 0-2. suh doing his own thing in miami,,, i am not upset with our 1-1 record cuz we have seen and know these guys can play some high quality ball on both sides

it was indeed a very unpredictable week of football. So many people who flourished in week 1, sucked in week 2 and a lot who sucked in week 1, flourished in week 2

First week I had the highest fantasy score I have had in over 10 years -

second week I had my historic low...

odd start to the year.

Whoever said that is right. In the fields of teaching, coaching and learning, 3-4 weeks or games is the magic number to figure out what's going on, settle in, and get things working.

freakin colts lol

Don't see why so many thought that was a for sure win. The Jets have good receivers now, and a solid run game. They have a very good defense and when Luck faces a good defense, Monday night happens lol. I picked Jets.

Unpredictable!

That's why I haven't been able to retire gambling.
For us, especially, wth the huge turnover, lots of youth out there, unpredictability is what happens...and it did. We just happened to go with inexperience against an elite QB(top 5), elite WR, elite HC(Tomlin), elite front 7 (hmm...why was it again that we didn't attack their DBs until 2nd half?), and equally important, these guys had all played together for a number of yrs and Ben has 10+ yrs experience vs what we put out there. On D it was not Dick LaBeau, but it was his D of many yrs gone by. So we went up against a very talented AND experienced team, with a team minus 7 of its former pro bowlers , entirely new coaches all around, and an incredibly inexperienced team. I'm not saying it's good or bad, it's just that those are the facts . Also why in picking our record, my 9-7 included a L at Pitts. To add insult to injury, Pitt had the home field advantage, had 10 days off and to prepare, and we had to fly E after a Mon niter, and play a game which which we had way less time to prepare for.

The advantages of this game, both experience and talent aside....were way over on the Pitts side of the scale. On top of that, Ben has a career day, along with his buddy ABrown. Like has been said many times already, "That's sports". I can't think of a single advantage we had going into this game. Not that it mattered , but it did help make it worse. We can get better with experience and good coaching, but the remainder of this yr there are half a dozen teams out there who we would be extremely fortunate to beat ...anytime this season....and they are all really talented and experienced. That is something we have to grow into...ie, it takes time. Like JT said, "own it, fix it, and move on". Amen to that.
