31-17 Packers. The betting line right now shows us as only 9-9.5 point underdogs because we're at home and Rodgers isn't as unbeatable on the road. Getting anywhere close to the spread would be a moral victory right now.

The Packers are a really, REALLY good team. Everyone sees Aaron Rodgers but he plays behind the best offensive line outside of the state of Texas which gives him plenty of time and allows Lacy and Starks and even an undrafted FA to gain meaningful yards on the ground. Even without Jordy Nelson they are a scoring machine. Their defense is very good against the run and fast and disciplined in the secondary. In short, they have no obvious weaknesses.
I will be generous and say the 49ers score 10 points, largely as the result of a turnover and some good play here and there. On the other side, I don't see the 49ers holding GB to less than 38 points, and that is assuming the 49ers do not turn the ball over.

That great offensive line, especially Bakhtiari, was caught holding a lot yesterday... Rodgers makes the O Line better with his adjustments and forces defensive linemen to stay in their lanes or he'll take free yards. They have pretty good guards, but the rest of their line isn't impressive and I don't see them a top 5 unit. Lacy is a beast who just carries defenders including Justin Houston and Rodgers is up there with Montana and Brady as the best QB's to play the game. Starks averaged 3.9 YPC last year and 3.3 so far this year which doesn't support your argument that anyone can run behind that line.
PFF ranked them 4th last year, but Rodgers deserves a lot of credit for their pass blocking ranking and arguably their run blocking ranking because he threatens defenses with his arm and legs and will audible out of bad runs. Elite QB's tend to make their lines look better than they actually are and Rodgers has one of the quickest releases in the NFL.

Our secondary is atrocious. Even on the road, the Packers will score 35+ on us. 49ers win 63-35.

What is the worst blowout loss in our history? I think we may see it shattered this week. I've been a fan for decades but there is no way we stay within five touchdowns of Green Bay.
This is a matchup nightmare.

Gabbert gets to play this week and the offense goes from nothing to below avg!
QB controversy inbound!
What's sad is that could actually happen

Green Bay has a short week and has to fly across the country to play. The 49ers should at least keep this one close, as they will all be playing for their reputations and jobs. If it's another blowout, there's no excuse, they are the worst team in the league and this season's over.

63-6 Packers destroy us. Rodgers throws for 6 TDs and Kap throws 2 picks in the first half and gets benched.

We need to man the f**k up and go out there and play like our families lives depend on it, when somebody tries to bend you over and sodomise you, you dont take it like a b***h do you?
We need to go out and ambush these Green Bay clowns, rip them a new one, we need to play like warriors not like guys who dont give a s**t because at the end of the day they get paid millions and are too content, these blokes just arnt hungry enough.
We need to play like we are starving, nobody should be able to bully the 9ers around, even if they have the better team, we need to out enthuse em with heart, pride and desperation.
Lets rip these fools a new one.
