First play of the 2nd half.
49ers look to create a three level high-low read on the left side of the field. We've seen this many times before.
versus some sort of Cover1
Torrey goes vertical as VD comes across the field. The deep safety (blue) identifies the concept and starts to jump VD's route.
With the deep safety coming downhill, this should tell Kap he will have the deep portion of the field with Torrey on a 1v1 situation with PPeterson, with no inside safety help.
Safety removes himself from the deep middle of the field as Torrey breaks to the Post. Kap should be winding up now to target Torrey, leading Torrey towards the middle of the field.
Kap rolls right. He has another chance. This time to really step into the throw and target Torrey.
Kap ends up throwing while partially rolling right.
Correct read, thrown late. Can't get enough power into the throw. INT'ed.
This is an extremely long throw, but it didn't have to be this long if Kap throws it when he's still in the pocket and Torrey isn't so far downfield.
