Harder schedules are at the bottom?
If that's the case then that kinda sucks.
And why the f**k doesn't Seattle have a harder schedule than us...Were they not in the SB

Chances of us making playoffs right now in vegas odds i believe are what like less than 5%? thats exactly why wins against crap teams piss me off. If we were beating quality teams id be happy and think we actually have a good team, but when your bad crap is beating worse crap all its doing is putting u in a deeper hole drafting wise. Id be willing to watch this team lose all of its games if it means id only have to do it this one season, rather than watch us miss the playoffs for the next decade. We need some serious help next year in the draft.

Lots of different ways of looking at things. For instance, if we lose all our games, we're going to need WAY more help with talent than the #1 pick. If we're 16-18th it means we've got some clear talent and need to shore up a few spots. Which do you prefer?

Also, it's much easier to attract FAs if you're 8-8(ish) as opposed to 2-14.

And furthermore, it's not like early picks are a guarenteed good player...

2-14 Teams actually attract alot of FA's. Its the BIG free agents they attract though because usually those 2-14 teams have alot of cap space to spend on a free agent. And lets face it, IMO but im sure its fact 90% of the players in the NFL only care about there contract size. Im sure there is a gray area there where if its a 200-500k difference in teams they would just pick whichever team fits them best, but if we are talking 1million or more in difference? They are taking the bigger pay check. I havent read any article besides i think Manning where someone took a million or more less just to be with said team, and if there is, its definitly the few and not the many.
And 16-18th and 1st overall can be a gray area as well. The colts were a playoff team, they lost Manning and they became the worst team in football. They acquired luck and were immediately in the post season again, I dont think a record necessarily says exactly how bad a team CAN be. Sometimes it takes just a draft and a free agency to completely change a team and id rather do that with 1:1 than 1:16. Look at the falcons last year compared to this year. Two completely different teams in one year record wise.

The Giants game is gonna be the game they had to win to make it into the playoff.

We have to hope that some of these Teams start a losing streak.Which couldhappen, have to cheers the RAVENS but cardinals should desecrate them on MNF.
But means nothing unless we can make a run of wins from here on. Prob right about Giants game 3 & 4 or 4 & 4 after today would be hopefull at least.
My answer sadly is NO. But I won't stop hoping.

Are you guys seriously doing math to figure out our chances of making the playoffs???? Look at the product on the field. It's pathetic. We should be hoping for 2-14. Let's get some talent. The players on this team can't compete with good teams. We beat a trash Baltimore team barely and people here think that is an indicator of where we are? People need to wake the f**k up about this team.

The team has the same amount of talent either way (not much). This team would need an extraordinary amount of luck to win 8 games, but whether we win 2 games or 8 with the current roster, the talent is the same. If we win 2 games, we'll probably choose to give more playing time to younger guys to build for the future plus we'll get better draft picks, so I'll go with the #1 pick all day rather than winning a bunch of games against more talented teams. I'm rooting for our young guys to show some promise, but winning games right now won't help us long term.
