In 09 Hayne lead his team in the NRL on a similar run, 5 wins from the first 18 weeks before going on a 7 match streak to claim the last play off spot with 1 game of the regular season left. Lost the last regular season game 37-0 and had to play the same team the following week in the first play off game and won easily. Won the next 3 elimination games to make the big one only to loose it and then have the winning team stripped of the tittle 6 months latter due to massive salary cap rorting.

I guess while it is still mathematically possible we can live in hope.

This thread is further proof of a delusional fanbase, the 49ers have zero chance of making the playoffs. Even if they did why would you want to see Tomula get embarrased by a HC that knows what hes doing??

After that loss to NY it should be clear to everyone this coaching staff doesnt have a winning formula. The team played about as well as can be expected & still couldnt get a W. Looking back even the 49ers lone win against the Vikings was super ugly. Which leads to a much more logical question.

Will the 49ers win another game this season??

In the NFC, Atlanta or Carolina will probably be the first Wild Card Team. I believe 8 wins will get the 2nd Wild Card spot. That means we have to win 7 of the 11 games left. That means we can only lose 4 more. Don't see that happening.

Honestly the way they have been playing, I wouldn't be too surprised if it was a 1-15 season

It is more likely we don't win another game this season than making the playoffs.

We are horrible guys. Kudos to keeping the faith. But reality is reality.

Its nice to see optimism in this forum. But , reality is this team may not win another game. There defense is abysmal. Ohio State would shred it. Offense not much better.

Man...nearly impossible to respond to this question without getting slapped with a warning. I'll kindly just ask if you happened to be drinking and if you've watched this team at all this season. Max 5 wins, like I said in february. Even asking this question is absolutely ridiculous.

I give you credit. I'd be surprised if we even get 3 wins.

anything is possible, if the D can play like they did in wks 1 and 4, and the O can play like they did last Sunday, at the same time - this team should win some more games this year

but playoffs aren't looking good at this point, can't argue that
