What to do with Jarryd Hayne?

None of the above. On this subject, they've actually done the right thing. He's a borderline roster spot. If he's worth being active, start him at PR and a couple of plays at RB to spell or spark. If he gets it going, play him more, but if everyone at return and RB are healthy, sit him.

This is fair enough too. Probably like many I'm torn between wanting to see him make big plays and the risk of him flaming out because he was underdone in the circumstances. I want to see him play but I also want him to have time to adapt, feel more familiar, improve skills, get more playbook knowledge. Could see which way all this goes in the next couple of games. He must be getting close to ready, he's played it 10 times.

Season is about over. Run the man ragged in everything. He'd love it.

At this point, giving hayne touches as a running back with the type of plays they are running would be useless. Put a player in a position to be successful and
I don't believe the 49ers know what that is. Somebody posted I could do something as a"coordinator" I don't know about that but I wouldn't call anything that
the niners have been running. start with
misdirection, play action, give it to hayne , run him wide and let him lateral back across the field to somebody totally alone. Throw the quick pass out to the flat and then let the receiver quick lateral , maybe 3 feet to hayne. There are a million plays that they could be run that would simply create small distances. Let hayne take a flare pass and let him decide how he could quick pitch the ball to, a rugby play for sure. The coaches of the nfl are so frightened to do anything different. I can tell you that the shotgun formation was an invention of the 49ers in 1960 and coach Red Hickey. It was revolutionary in the day because it allowed the quarterback to have a totally different perspective. I just saw Jed york talk about accountability and class. He seems to think saying the word class means anything. The 49ers have not scratched the surface of anything they might do to shake things up. I think it is sad when the 49ers got a glimpse of someone with a skill set that they had never seen before and then basically chickened out of using any part of it. I said earlier they put in Mike davis because he represented the standard black collegiate running back with no experience it. They talk about Hayne have no experience but, excuse me are those people nuts. Hayne just happens to the quintessential guy to run the ball with the perfect skill set for a 49er team that doesn't provide any blocking, so, put him in a game, he won't have blocking but it won't matter if you put him in the positions he is familiar with, namely, some bit of slight of hand where he just isn't asked to run directly into a very crowded line that has no blocking
This is an add on but do you all recall how exciting preseason was with every single touch Hayne got, his Jersey wound up being the 5th most popular in the nfl, wow , that was a bit of a surprise, who would have guessed that. When you think Bill Walsh and the west Coast offense, it was simply a running game implemented with the ball being put in the air to replace a handoff,

Love your input Keith. Very knowledgeable. If you were coach I'd hazard a guess and say they would be doing a hell of alot better than they currently are mate! Hayne needs to be let off the chain in space, its what he does naturally making guys miss. Its not bloody rocket science!! The way things are going there could be riots in the streets if he is inactive again next game lol. Get him out there....Like Nike says 'Just Do It!'

On about the 50 yard line. CK short lateral left to Hayne who gets just forward of CK, fakes to just go but then laterals it back, CK scrambles/throws - 1st down running out. Hayne can throw a long, fast, accurate ball sideways. I know, I know, turnover risk. Only need to do this once every couple of games, that's not a huge risk to inject a bit of inspiring bravery. Next time from the 40, same play but Hayne throws a dummy return lateral and trounces the confused, unbalanced defender. Cuts back inside, straightens - TD under the posts.

Actually, in the last match i watched one of the 49ers wide recievers one to one with the seahawks, on the sideline after reciving from CK.

A simple inside pass (Lateral) to JH running past would have been a TD.. just need to train the WR's in rugby passes :)

As i've said in the past, I'm no youngster and usually people like to disagree with me just to piss me off, or they think they actually make astute observations.
Fact is, nobody remembers Jeff Garcia and I believe he still holds the 49er record for biggest comeback of all time, a 24 point deficit in the payoffs vs Giants.
Thing is, EVERYONE STILL KEEPS BRING UP KAEPERNICKS TALENT, so what, talent is not enough, never has been never will be, Its just enough to make a horny man keep an erection when he is looking out of a jail cell window at a skank. great metaphor eh. Colin makes so many bad, horrible,out of control passes to
nobody that it is shocking to consider. Proof of his ability is the niners gave him an almost worthless contract that I believe can be even discounted this year based upon him hitting all time lows in several categories. Fact is, niners hedged their bet on him from the getgo and he and his agent were too stupid to actually notice what the niners had included, Dumb, Dumb Kaepernick to go along with his dumber agent. Doesn't everyone on this this forum kind of get it when they hear him speak, He says the same thing, over and over and over and over again,,with slightly different wording. I cannot believe that people here, are still talking about his potential which has been spiraling downward with no bottom end in sight.
I believe the best part of this thread has been I'm entertaining you all by finding new ways to slam this jack ass, Colin, just go away please. I heard Tomsula giving a locker room pep talk a week and a half ago and he would say something stupid, reiterate something even more stupid and then say 'GOT IT, GOT ?"
Tomsula was making an exclamation on nothing , He kept saying got it for effect, except it was the wrong effect. He started out sounding like he was stupid, kept talking just to prove he was more of an idiot than anyone had guessed. So maybe the niners hired him because he made Jed york feel smart, and that was tough to do, I guess you all are now of the opinion that I don't think the niners management is very bright, wrong, they are unbelievably stupid surpassing my horrific opinion of them to begin with. I am finding that I kind of have a nack, or a way with words that I didn't even know I had, but the niners have finally pulled it from me by giving me nothing but truthful fodder to make this horrible observation that I am stuck with.. I really feel sorry for Jarryd because he is smart enough to understand what he has gotten himself into after being deceived by this great Richard show, or maybe just Dicks for short. I believe there is a way out though, have a seance and see if they can get a representative of Vic Fangio to rejoin the dead, I mean the 49er defense.
Maybe the niners can just coach themselves, not a bad idea. Can you imagine being paid to be an official media commentator, like Tim Ryan, or Matt, 49er insider,
official guy that knows the niners like no other. I hope this has been a bit entertaining because I've used up all of my nasty observations and I can't see much to be hopeful about. Actually, if somebody important had a stroke, and the person below him lost his mind and became officially mental, naming somebody stupid to oversee coaching changes, the niners could get lucky, wow, I can't believe I said that. I guess they are bringing out my creative side.

If they were to actually do this, which seems highly unlikely, they'd have to start involving Hayne a helluva lot more along with the trick plays, as teams would know as soon as he's out there some "rugby" style play is coming.

You're not seriously suggesting to insert rugby trick plays into an NFL game? Just so we can get one player some touches? I'd like to see more plays outside the tackle for him where he can truck cornerbacks and safeties
