He definatley adds a different dimension to our RB dimention if bush dosnt hang around

Your wrong but even if you weren't its not the point. He has already done it several occasions in the real season. Preseason is preseason but it shows the potential of someone. The only way to know is to now give him the time in the actual games. Not 1 or 2 touches a game but a proper game load.

Also you are completely incorrect - In the dallas game it was against the starting ST team - That juke in the gif is against #23 - A starting CB for them and a 4year vet. It was simply great play, great vision and it must be said good blocking.

The exact same as college players get drafted, its only college where the standard is even worse than NFL preseason, but players are scouted on potential. Mike davis has done nothing, did nothing in preseason either, but was great in college so he will get a chance too.

Hayne's problem is not talent, vision, strength or even speed its simply inexperience and the nuances of the game

Cheers I always wanted to check if any of those supposed 10th stringers hung around

I can't believe 20% of folk on this poll want to cut Hayne without even giving him a proper run. That could potentially turn out to be one of the dumbest decisions ever. I mean the guy has already made big plays in preseason and regular season, can take hits, is quick, continually makes guys miss and gains yards. can play multiple roles etc.

Hayne is an elite athlete at an international level, not just some college athlete. Sure that might not translate to NFL star but given his pedigree why rush and cut him ? I've seen stars in other sports take months or even a year or two to hit their straps but were worth the persistance and paid off bigtime later on. Add to that he has been rated by legends like Roger Craig and Jerry Rice as well and you can see he has the potential to offer the team something special going forward given the right training and coaching. Why not give him a decent run to make sure? If he stars its a huge gain for the future, if not you haven't lost anything as the season is already pretty much down the toilet anyway.

We can talk about what we think, only Hayne and the coaches can change people opinions, hope he comes.back with a cracker

Agree. At the mo there's just over 100 votes. Approximately 20 people want him cut. So doing a head count that might be: Ellington, Kap, Gabbert, Davis, ... Just kidding. It's interesting that only 100 or so forumites have voted. I guess that indicates they don't care and/or he is not even on the radar. Either way that's fair enough. I'd be more 'concerned' if no one wanted him cut, then you'd know you had a biased sampling.

I can't tell whether you are being funny or not cos I don't know anything about trades. Would anyone actually trade first round picks for Hayne? My guess would be he wouldn't fetch that kind of offer Maybe a 4th round pick and/or some old dude?

If 49ers tried to trade Hayne they would get a cheeseburger in return,he's worth nothing.

I was thinking more big mac coz he's got a wicked stiff arm.
It appears there is a good percentage of 49er fans are as stupid as their coaching staff. Jarryd Hayne is simply one of the best ball carriers to run with no blocking in
the nfl. He makes people miss with small body feints and yet the 49ers have shown a propensity to insert Mike Davis ahead of Hayne when he doesn't even know what play is being run. I guarantee that if the niners release Hayne, there are teams waiting to snap him up. Maybe it's time for Baalke to removed along witn Tomsula and Kaepernick. I still can't get past tomsula calling for a punt last week, losing 20-3 in the 4th quarter. He just didn't want to lose 27-3. He is so in over his head
it's embarrassing. If the 49ers played hayne in an intelligent way, screen passes, flares, reverses, mis-directions he would probably have the most yards per touch on the 49ers. Funny thing was Hayne led the entire nfl in preseason yards and he did it primarily on his own with no blocking, but hey, isn't that what rugby league is all about, making yards with no blocking, I also wanted to comment that in my opinion the niners are starting players based upon (RACIAL PROFILES (THINK MIKE DAVIS MAYBE ) isn't he the kind of player who should be a good runner, he certainly doesn't have a skillset better than Hayne. Hayne has some of the best ball handling skills on the team ( forget his miscues from nerves )
I dare one of the geniuses on this forum to dispute, challenge, or argue with my statement above.

"lamontb" how did this brilliant idea work it's way into your mind, ( is that what you are calling it) You've written a lot of posts but I'm guessing you have absolutely no knowledge of what it might take to be a good football player. My wife is an Aussie, so when I saw that Hayne was coming here, I spent at least 4 hours watching him play rugby. So here is what he brings to the table, you might want to write some of this down so you don't forget, assuming you don't have total recall.
He has played his entire life without the benefit of anyone blocking for him, so he has developed an ability to make sublte, almost imperceptible moves that get people just off balance enough (like a pitcher throwing a changeup) to run by a would be tackler almost as if by magic. His whole life and legendary status has been predicated on his ability to do this very thing. He shocked the nfl world in preseason making people miss look easy.
So the regular season starts and instead of trying to build up this high potential rookie's confidence, they play him less and less to the point where this talented buy is getting desperate to make a play to get him more playing time. 49ers did the exact same thing with LaMichael James, the guy that single handed made it not possible for Harbaugh and cardinals to beat Oregon, Is it just the insanity of the 49ers, doing the same thing over and over again expecitng different results?????
Wait, along comes a seasoned brilliant observer who states the obvious, "he is just wasting a roster spot"
"Lamontb" you sir are wasting paper which is more absurd than your comment that Jarryd Hayne is wasting a roster spot.
Any Aussies who think I am 100% correct in my observations give a good ole "aussie assie assie oi oi oi"
Jarryd hayne if used in a catch and lateral, play action pass, screen pass, statue of liberty or any one of another 50 options, instead of the few plays he was given to dive straight into a horrid line and guess what happend, he had very few positive yards and of course the coaches at that point were sure to have been overheard saying, see he's not a natural like the other rookie Mike Davis who couldn't remember the play last time they put him in.
Up and own the line from the idiot child savant president to the general manager down to the guy they named Head coach, atta boy Tomsula, are the niners s**ttin me that they are serious with their supposed ernest attempt to play nfl football.
As you might have guessed, my 62 years observing nfl football since I was just 8 years old has been well spent
