I doubt we bring Bradford in. There was a reason Bradford was available for a trade last year and its not because he is this good QB. He is an injury prone average starting QB. If he is not a Kap fan then they will take a QB early on in the draft.

Agreed, Bradford is an average and injury prone starting QB. But Chip might like the idea of having a guy that knows his system, If we did sign him, I fully expect it would be with the idea of drafting a QB early. Bradford is no more than a stopgap wherever he goes.

I think this would take him out of our plans: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/sam-bradford/market-value/

He was bad rushing the passer. Had some down moments overall but he still plays the run pretty well for the most part. Still covers ok too.

Ranked as the 88th edge defender in the league and even worse as a pass rusher...peace out Brooks and you $10 million dollar cap hit

This. Get the hell out

If he thinks he's getting that on the open market, he may be in for a tough offseason
I wonder how much turnover we will see

I'm thinking bye bye boldin

Possibly brock? He's a home grown udfa and I hope he gets his 2013 form back.

Brooks... Good riddance.

Boone? Another home grown talent but I think he will command but bucks but I think he'll stick around.

Kap? Gabbart?

You dont read in NT much? Everyone will be cut or traded for 12 draft picks, the only person Kelly and Trent keep is Kap. Thats all Chip needs.
Out:

Devey
Pears
Brooks
Bethea (only because we have younger, cheaper talent that provide the same ability)
Bush (too fragile)

Keep:
Kap
Gabbert
Wilhoite
Hodges
Williams
Dorsey
Droughn

Keep, but on a short leash:
Martin
Thomas
McDonald
Jerrod-Eddie

Championship...
Bradford? F*** that noise. If Chip isn't a Kap fan or doesn't think he's salvageable I think it has to be Gabbert + rookie (assuming that Wentz/Lynch or both will be available even if Goff isn't).

I think the OL will be revamped, Staley the only player guaranteed a starting job, the rest gutted save for Tiller and Brown.

Boone walks as FA
Pears, Devy, Kilgore, Martin all gone
Vance gone
Ellington, Patton, Simpson gone
Brooks gone
Bethea maybe gone, will prob have to take pay cut & compete for job to stay

Williams, Boldin, Dawson are must resigns IMO
Reid prob gets an extension

Then I really think we throw money at M. Wilkerson and a another high level FA either on the OL, another pass rusher or a WR so we can get the other early in the draft. Don't think we go QB and roll with Kaep vs Gabbert in TC.

If we can get the QB right, with the players coming back from injury and the money we have to spend along with high draft picks and some developing talent like Atmstead, Dial, Ward, Lyncg, Hyde, Tiller, Brown, Taratt we could surprise people next year if we do this right. The tools are there, Trent and Chip just have to execute.

Who are you gonna replacing everyone with?!! You want to throw all our cash at one player? Wilkerson is gonna get tagged without a doubt and I'm not in favor of trading for him.

Ellington and Patton aren't going anywhere we need as many WRs as possible with chip. Vance isn't worth cutting there's upside there with chip. He actually made plays when the ball was thrown to him.

Why you cutting Kilgore and Martin? Kilgore is fine for chips offense and Martin is at the very least going to be in during training camp. I like tiller but can he get to the second level as a OG? That's what our OGs are gonna have to do, they need to be athletic.

There's gonna be some changes but the team isn't getting gutted like chip tried to do this past season in philly IMO

I only named 11 players, that's about normal turnover. Martin, Thomas are bad fits in Chips O and I think we move on from Kilgore injury history. Pears and Devy suck, so does Ellington, Patton and Vance.

And btw with the cap space the team has paying a guy like Wilkerson wouldn't take all their cash.

Normal turnover ?

Lol, people love painting themselves into corners on the zone

Right now we don't have any luxury of cutting guys even if they suck. Now if we can get guys who can beat those guys out in camp, then we think about cutting

I don't have any data on this, so it's speculation, but Fangio in particular played vets over young players. There are good reasons for this...they were winning and he didn't like guys making dumb mistakes. But I really thought some of the young guys could have developed more if they had played more minutes. It is a double edge sword though...how do you get them minutes without losing due to mistakes? In blow out game I would have put the young guys in earlier and let them finish.

Last year it was fun to watch the DBs. Acker, in particular, was fun to watch. He is a very good tackler and sticks to his man like glue. Tartt was great for a rookie and Ward proved himself. Fangio would have brought in more guys like Rogers.
For sure. I like calling it a "double edge sword", that's a great way of describing it. There are pros and cons. Generally, though, I think fans fall in love with potential and tend to downplay what veterans bring to the table. Rookies usually have a lower floor and a higher ceiling, whereas veterans tend to be known quantities with little volatility.
I say they send Kaepernick to Cleveland for Manziel and trading draft spots in first and/or second, and/or third rounds.

If they want to pay someone a couple of mil to party all the time and suck at QB, I'm available for half of whatever Johnny F*ckup is asking.

I'd rather they trade Kap and get RG3 on FA. I'd gamble on his injuries over Manziel's BS.
