None, Kelly doesn't control the roster

I think there's a misunderstanding some new users don't understand is that, Chip will not have control of player management otherwise Balkkee would not have hired him.

Oh, I agree. There are some major misunderstandings about player management on here. A GM and a HC need to work as a team. Chip won't have "total control" but he will make player evaluations, and will decide who he actually puts on the field. If it comes gown to a decision to keep or release a player and they completely disagree, that is where things get sticky. I don't see a lot of that coming up immediately though, because those decisions are usually salary cap driven. Baalke is not going to tell Chip he has to keep Devey for example, because he (Baalke) just likes him. If it comes down to needing to make cuts, and where to make them, the HC will recommend his best players, the GM is supposed to look at the overall business part. At this point I don't believe Baalke is in a strong enough position to argue with Kelly over which players currently on this team are kept and which are cut. It would be different a bit if we were looking at a team full of veterans making tons of money and we had cap problems.

Anthony Davis. He should stay gone. Very replaceable. The dude think this team still needs him badly. lol

Well, he isn't so easily replaceable if he comes back as OT. Guards are more easily replaceable.

I don't think Baalke will take a scythe to the roster. There may be a couple of retirements, beyond that, though, he will surely wait for next year's roster cut-downs.

In starting to wonder if he can be packaged in a draft day trade?

Sigh. He hasn't signed his papers to come back yet. Trading a retired player has been discussed ad nauseum on here. Yes, he could be traded if he ever comes back. And TBH, I would trade him to the worst team in the league for a box of popcorn jyst to get even with his sorry butt for retiring in the manner he did. Ok, not really but seriously, what do you think we can get for a head case that has not played in almost two years? Go look at what Denver got for Clady.
Pears and Devey....
For the life of me, why do so many eliminate Martin from their cut list. Martin/devey/ pears. The fearsome threesome. Why would Martin stay when all he did last yr was have guys run by him, over him or around him. As a group or individually, I would not want any of thes guys on the team.If someone is not worth it, you don't keep him playing. But none of those guys stays. They all leave willingly.

ASAP.

If they are on the roster this year something went wrong.
Is there a sliver of hope that Chip finds a role for Bruce Miller??

Now that's something to talk about. This is the York show you know.
You may be right, StOnEy, but I believe chip will hang onto all the talented guys we have and try to find a place for him in the lineup. It's not that we have talent to burn. We have precious little talent and Miller is one of those. My bet is chip finds a way to use him.

maybe a return to the days when stevie johnson and our young wide outs would set on the bench while roman/jh decided to fake everyone out by lining up bruce miller wide left?
