I think awful is overstating it a bit.

He was bad rushing the passer. Had some down moments overall but he still plays the run pretty well for the most part. Still covers ok too.

Why in the world would you keep brooks? Hes played awful this year. There is no way I want him on this team any longer by restructuring his deal.

And we currently have $53 million in cap space with cutting anyone

Dump McDonald

You realize it's Boldin that doesn't work in the Chip Kelly offense?

I think Boldin would work in any offense but can you explain your thinking?

Besides in a more spread out offense you can't really double bold in like times past, so he'll be just as effective as before.

Wouldn't shock me if Sam Bradford signed with the 49ers. Chip hasn't gone out of his way to get a running QB. Sam was HIS guy.

No one talking about possibility that Chip cuts Colin Kaepernick & signs Bradford. Save money & get a guy he likes. Interesting possibility

Despite reports Chip kelly did not want to trade for #49ers QB Colin Kaepernick. Chip was not a fan while with #eagles @FOX29philly

RB Reggie Bush
TE Vance McDonald
WR Jerome Simpson
WR Anquan Boldin
S Antoine Bethea

Notes: OG Thomas and Silberman both will have another year under their belts, plus I'm sure we'll add more depth, so I don't think losing Boone will hurt us much. Losing Devey will only help us. McDropall had a better year, but Celek is simply better than him and Bell has loads of untapped potential. Boldin is aging and I'd rather have a young core with more upside and speed. Smelter will be ready and Smith can be the veteran leader. Bethea is a good player, but Tartt and Ward I think showed he can handle the SS spot. Personally I think we should use Tartt and Ward like the Cardinals used Mathieu and Bucannon.

I could easily see this happening. I would like to retain Boldin and Bethea for leadership but agree they may be more a drag than a boon. As for Boone, Devey, Pears (I'll add him), and Wilhoite, the niners should be able to upgrade all those spots.

I think they'd keep Pears as a cheap veteran backup at OG, but nothing will be handed to him. If any newcomers or developing youngsters beat him out, that's that. Best man wins.
Since they have to decide about Kaepermick before the draft, not knowing if a QB would still be available, would they still draft one of the top QB's in the first round, if they keep Kap? I don't think anyone would trade for Kap before the deadline. I think they should still go for QB in the first round, even if they still have Kap and Gabbert.

I like a ton of this!

How about Miller at FB?

No Bradford plz.. the guy has done nothing in his career so far to convince me he can lead a team to the playoffs
Pretty much most of baalke's offensive draft picks.

I tend to agree with you, but this is interesting:

Brett Strohsacker ‏@BStrohEagles 7 Dec 2015
Sam Bradford has a 105.6 rating in his last three starts and the Eagles are 5-2 in the last seven games that Bradford started and finished.

He appears to be injury prone and this is an admittedly small sample size considering he's five years into his career, but it suggests Bradford may have been getting the hang of Chip's offense as the season wore on. Chip made it clear he intended for Bradford to return to PHI in 2016 had he remained as HC. He may prefer him to Kap as a bridge QB while he develops a young signal caller.

Could happen! He is a versatile backup. But my preference would be for then to pick up a starter and let Brown develop for another year. If A Davis comes back and claims his RT spot then the matter might be moot. Unless he wins the backup OG spot. At any rate I believe in letting them compete in training camp and let the best man win.
