Eagle fan is probably NC, which is under Jed's payroll
Thanks for insight

I agree with a lot of what your saying...I do think your GM did anything in his power to get rid of Chip once chip basically took over his job, firing Gamble was a bad move on Howie's part.

Once Tomsula was fired Chip reached out to the Niners for good reason, I think he has a plan and who knows he might just be able to modify that offense a little (doesn't have to be uptempo 24/7) He's still learning as a HC.

Best of luck to the season... at least your GM is getting all the important parts of your current team signed up for the long haul.
Thanks Eagles Fan. I see the pros and cons with Chip, and IMO the pros outweigh the cons. Additionally, at least the 49ers will be fun to watch again. They haven't been fun to watch since 2013.

Hurry, bring in the negative-one-liner-squad and we can quickly bury this post and it's optimism!

On the real, excellent post and perspective. I know several of us like to throw a bone out to the teams our own FA's went to to give real perspectives (i.e. Gore, Crabtree, Iupati, etc.). It's very helpful for more realistic expectations.

But it's extra cool regarding a coach. That was a very comprehensive and well thought-out post. Thanks Eagles fan...and good luck next year!

And BTW, Chip Kelly having a touch of Aspergers is very believable, and totally fine. Theres is NO way that Bill Belichick doesnt have a bit of that himself. If you can communicate to your players, its not an issue.

There is no way to diagnose that by reading articles and viewing short video clips. On the other hand, you can estimate the guy is smart, driven and focused on his vision, which is exactly what Harbaugh brought over. Actually, Singletary had also had a vision and focus to achieve it, I just don't think he had the skills to execute the operational stuff required for success.

Sometimes guys with a clear vision of what everything needs to be can be jerks because it is the success that matters above all else, including relationships. The list of these guys is endless, but since it's Cali I'll throw in Steve Jobs and Elon Musk.

Bwahahaha! Good one!

You know it's not me as he wasn't my first HC choice but I'm liking the hiring more and more and certainly "get it."

Offense should be exciting.

We deserve an explosive offense after suffering through the Chryst, Raye, Hostler and Roman seasons ...I miss having a razor sharp attack with a plethora of weapons to choose from

Seriously. We haven't seen a legitimate passing attack since Marriucci days.

We need to shore up that O-line and this will be fun to watch.
great post. hopefully it works out!
Eagles fan, what an incredibly kind and nice thing you did for both us...and chip. Hopefully some of our ding alongs will give chip a wider berth. Or at least be more understanding. I also was one of those verbally opposed to the hiring of chip. Since he has been here , he has won me over. Awful nice of you tho to get us prepared fror chip in the season. Many thanks, amigo. Maybe one day we can return the favor. We all appreciate your taking the time and effort to do so.
Best regards,
Pasodoc9er....yes a physician, but certainly no expert on Aspbergers. It will be interesting to see, with the possibility raised aforehand, if we note some of that. As long as he makes us competitive and fun to watch, it really doesn't matter one whit. Again, thanks.

As an aside, the OL that I have been begging for since game 6 or 8 last yr, looks like it will happen...OC, OG and an OT who can play OG (and later be the replacement for Joe S when he hangs 'em up.). As for the OLB passrusher, the DT (malik J, at RDE), and Ian Williams, who we have to sign, I sure don't see much else being done on DL, which is going to be a shame. Sure would be nice to see that taken care of too in FA, but we'll see.
