pretty good for a 2nd and 3rd year player. But most of that play was his own making things happen.

He was a project QB and needed polishing out of college. He definitely didn't get that from Roman and Harbaugh

No, pretty good for any year QB. From the eye test along with the stats.
I haven't followed the Niners before this season, but I know he hates Chip. He's an old school fullback. Anything different and he objects.

Heath Evans with a 3 win projection. He actually thinks we're a 1 win team.

Where on this roster did we get WORSE since last year? Every position group is either the same (QB/RB/TE/LB/WR), or better (S/CB/DL/OL) than last year. We had a terrible schedule last year as well. Not to mention, we are certainly not worse in regard to coaching. So, what gives?

Maybe he was inappropriately touched by someone in the 49er org? That's my assumption.

That is an understatement:

When Philly hired him

Heath Evans: "I am going on the record calling Chip Kelly one of the worst hires in pro football history."

It's a match made in heaven. His most hated team and most hated HC are now together. I thought his head was going to explode when they hired Kelly

thats your opinion and that has nothing to do with him not being coached properly

Lol what? It has absolutely everything to do with how he was coached and him being coached properly. I know you think JH is a s**t, incompetent coach but come on.
Yeah Grant Cohn, who I thought buried the hatchet, looks to be hating again.

from Steve Wyche of NFL Network

"It's a legitimate quarterback competition," said Wyche. "During the offseason, remember Blaine Gabbert took the majority of the first-team reps because Colin Kaepernick was not medically cleared. Kaepernick had shoulder, thumb, and knee surgery so he really couldn't do much on-field work until the final week of OTAs."

"But Chip Kelly, he lived up to his word. Both guys got 12 reps each with the first team. Both guys looked ok," Wyche continued. "One thing that you noticed about Kaepernick – he was not lost. He's a guy that looked like he had gone through the spring workouts and the offseason workouts because he took the mental reps. And when I say lost, he understood his progressions. He got in and out of the huddle. So this competition, whereas coming into the week, it may have seemed like Gabbert may have had a sizable head start, this situation might be a lot more even and it is abundantly clear that Chip Kelly is going to let each guy play his way into our out of the job.

That guy is such a F*cknut!
Any word on Lj McRay?

So what has JH/GR coached/taught Kaep thats being used today ?

you know that JH/GR used Kaeps old coaches plays from Nevada and which kaep looked his best in the option. JH took that away and couldn't help progress Kaep from under center.

While JH is a great coach, he's just not the Guru he portrayed

I wouldn't know since he's been injured and his game went to hell after JH/Roman left. Which I think speaks volumes of how well they coached him. Generally if a player is performing at high levels under specific coaches, it reflects the quality of the coaching

Honestly asking -- what's up with Heath Evans when it comes to the Niners? He seems to have some serious venom when they come up. It's been that way even when the Niners were in Super Bowl contention. Did something go down I'm not aware of? Seriously asking.

We beat both his favorite coaches, Sean and Bill. So did Chip last year. A double whammy

Kaep wasn't injured the first half of the season.

while i agree good coaches can help players play well, but they also know how to mask weaknesses. That masking came undone in 2014

While we had the players and talent, the 2014 was the worst coached team by Harbaugh. All teams knew our game plan and GR/JH couldn't do anything about it.

Back on topic:

Kelly said Kaep needs coaching and he's the guy to do it
