His "bs Mickey Mouse college scheme" is producing a better offense then we have had in years

The biggest knock on Kelly should be his terrible ability to hire defensive coordinators. Billy Davis + Oniel =

Are you nuts?

Are you saying this current offense is better than the offense in 2012??!!

Yes

The defense is polar opposites

While I agree the defense sucks, I can't believe you are saying the current offense is better.

Bro, back in 2012 we were raping the Packers in the playoffs by both running and throwing the ball. We could run the ball down people's throats as well as throwing deep down field with play action passing.

That, my friend was what you call good offense, not this current college bullcrap!

Eli Harold is garbage he fit well on this D

and you can replace Harold with pretty much any name you want. when you play backups to backups, you should know what you will get.

You are citing one game where the packers were not prepared for Kaps running ability. Our offense wasn't spectacular in 2012 our defense was. Roman and his 2012 offense was middle of the pack with a historically dominant defense.
Things that we need to turn it around next season:

1) New GM
2) New entire coaching staff
3) New QB
4) New 6'3+ stud WR
5) New young healthy RB
6) 3 new LB's
7) Edge rusher
8) Big ass run stopping tackle
9) Free/Strong safeties
10) Kickoff/Punt returner

Is that too much to ask for from a team with $44+ mil in cap space and a guaranteed top 3 draft pick?

Bro, hate to have to dig up stats, in 2012, we were 11th in Total Offense which is a lot more than what you can say about the current mess now as in we are 32nd, absolute dead last!!!

What is more important is we were actually winning games and not going on a 7-game losing streak. So, go figure!

While I agree our D back then was top notch, we still had to put points on the board. Our O was more than good enough to win us ball games and that goes beyond the single Packers playoff game. Remember how we beat the Pats at Gillette??
Kap will continue to be at QB and stink!

Stunk today. 400+ total yards 2 TDs with Patton and McDonald. All that talent.

Helps when your D is creating 2-3 turnovers a game. Our D made teams one dimensional because they could not run on us. Offense in 2012 had some terrible games but we won so it didn't matter as much.

Kap had a good game today - great compared to his historical performances. I hope he continues to improve and avoid more of those dead 3-n-out drives.

I completely agree

The difference is the defense

We consistently got off the field on D in 2012 to give the offense more chances, now it's an amazing feat for our D to get off the field without giving up some sort of extended drive for points.

If you really look at how our offense operates now it consistently schemes receivers open (but or qb can barely hit them) and we have a top 5 rushing offense even with our putrid D

Regardless 2012 was a stacked super bowl team and we have nowhere near the roster we had then so the offensive scheme isn't the issue as much as people want to keep throwing that narrative around

49ers had the #2 overall defense in 2012. That was the reason for a good offense, not the other way around. In 2012, nobody ran on the 49ers and nobody had chunk plays against them. That was a great defense.

Just going off my memory, the only bad games we had in 2012 were mainly against the Seahawks cos: 1) they were better than us and 2) Kap would always crap in his pants when he played Seattle.

They had 600 yards in one game. Aside from that they averaged barely more than half that total which would've placed them in the bottom third of the league. And this is coming from someone who agrees with you, but that offense was overrated.
