Defense. Definitely defense. No offense can win games when the defense doesn't hold up their side of the ball. If your offense marches down the field, scores 7, and then the defense allows the opposing team to march down for the equalizer, I don't care how good you are. You're not going to win games.

Don't get me wrong, the offense has been horrid too. We haven't scored over 30 points once this season, and our high scoring mark came in week 1 against the Rams with a whopping 28 points. But whether or not you want to believe it, Kaepernick, and Gabbert for that matter, are the least of our worries.

That being said, though, we definitely need an upgrade at QB, or at least someone who can bring us some kind of hope for the future.

The D is the WORST in the league. You're still fixated on the QB though based on whatever grievances you have agaisnt him personally.

Did you pay atention to the defense or do you just turn the TV off when they come on the field? We desperately need LB help. We need a NT, we need a pass rusher. We need a safety to replace Bathea. We need an actual franchise caliber receiver.

Sure, he can look good from time to time, but he's far too inconsistent and TBH, the Limp Pickle needs the rest of the team to be good. He can't carry a team to the playoffs by [most of] himself. QBs who can actually read (a lot of disguises DCs try to plan) defenses w/out panicking in the pocket can do that. He's not one of them...

Whether the results are good or bad, the results changed.

Kelly runs a non favorable system to the D. JoN is just terrible.

Changing them would help the D. Top 5? No. But we would be better.

Good coordinators adjust / adapt to each other's styles. O'Neil might still be learning... the system is new, he's on a new team, his defense is all banged up, but he still gots to go (scapegoat)
