setting up for such a high if they win then a low when we win a meaningless game
pretty much like doing a speedball

Don't worry.
We're depleted and we weren't even good at full strength.

who will be our "savior" with the #1 pick?
The #1 pick is most valuable to a team that is only one man away from a real shot at a SB. A team with our roster should trade back just a few spots to pick up extra very high picks.
In theory, sure but since there's no "Luck" in the draft is there really THAT big a diff between #1 and #2? I say NO.
The advantage is you have the whole off season to take the best trade, with everybody still on the board, as opposed to 15 minutes with the top man gone.
Same on day 2.
Seems like kind of a stretch to me but OK it's the best reason I've seen so far to lose. I still disagree vehemently. a draft pick or a trade is a crap shoot. 1-15 will last FOREVER
1-15 lasts for one season
How is 2-14 any different?

They have these things called record books and they last forever. The "worst record in team history" will last forever. No thanks.
