I read that article. It says he prefers SF under one condition. York must commit to a full "rebuild". Read into that as you may. I see it as McDaniels saying Kap has to go, he will bring in his guy and expect to struggle for at least 2-3 years.

I do feel that if the 49ers hire McDaniels that it would be pretty likely that they trade for Garoppolo. Maybe they go after another big play WR like Mike Williams in the draft the way McDaniels went after Demaryius Thomas in the 1st round.
