New Head Coach Search Commences! Rumors and all else goes here!

Phoenix just doesn't want Shanny to end up the Jared Goff of head coaches is all. Mediocrity as a ceiling is problematic.

I'm happy with Shanahan, not sure why people get so worked over choosing sides. I liked McDaniels and Shanahan, I had questions about both of them in regards to character and leadership. I tried to look at it from both sides and not just "rah rah, let's all blow sunshine up each others asses."

No question about his capacity to design creative and explosive offensive gameplans. We'll have to see how he handles being a coach on a rebuilding roster and going through some tough losses and how he keeps things together but overall I'm excited, I'm a huge fan of the Shanahan blocking scheme and the way they create record-setting rushing attacks. I think with a quality GM and support from his dad, he can be something special.

About the only candidate that could have made me rage quit was Cable.

I'm the one that needs to take a deep breath, you sure?

Fxxking sad. Well, one thing for sure, will be watching a hell of a lot of Rams games from now on. The dude will be starting as well, can't wait to see how he adapts right away. It won't be easy, but if he could play behind that Cal O-line for so long, I think he will be alright. This kid has a tonne of gumption, he will stand tall in the pockt everytime to deliver the ball even knowing full well he will get hit. His red zone throws are going to be insane. Definitely something to look forward to in the coming season.

Don't come crying, bro when Goff carves the 9ers up like a turkey.

Obviously never watched a single Cal game in your life. You are ignorant as fxxk!! LOL.

Jared Goff will be more than OK. Next year, they will need to draft some decent WRs. By then Gurley will be firing all cylinders. The Rams offense will be much improved. The beauty of Goff is he gets the ball out so incredibly quick and as they say that is the best counter for all pass rush.

Go and watch some film on Goff, he has been operating pretty much all his plays with next to no pass protection from his line. The kid is going to be prepared for the NFL level. He is intelligent and has a photographic memory as shown in Gruden's QB Camp, he can be easily coached. Even if Fisher sucks, he will make Fisher look good.

I believe there is a Jared Goff thread for that? LOL.

That's the past. Wow, you have got to be so butt hurt that you would even bother digging out my posts. LOL. I am flattered.

Given the severity of your condition, I really think you really need to seek medical help. At the very least, you need someone to talk to.

Get over it, am I still sweating it about Jared Goff? Nope.

Move on. McDaniels ain't coming to San Francisco anytime soon! LOL.

Glad your 5 month ragequit allowed you to realize that the 49ers made the right move in not blowing up 2 drafts for him.

Don't speak too soon. It remains to be seen what Sean McVay will be able to do with him.

Alright, if you want to call someone a bust after 7 games, then be it. LOL.
It's time to lock er up!

I don't think he'll be a bust, I just don't know that he'll ever be worth what the Rams gave up for him.
Goff has barely played, hes hardly a bust.....yet

Might get him all the way to the 3rd best QB from the 2016 draft. Cody Kessler has set a high bar.

Agree with ya. Hope he does well but there are legit questions.

I am excited to see a real consistent passing game again hopefully. It's been a decade and a half of mediocrity now.

Agree as well. Cable would have just made me ill and Shanahan is fine. My preference was McVay, Shanahan or McDaniels. They are getting one of the three so...great!

yup, I hope we continue to bust his head so he doesn't gain any confidence.

I still think he has a chance to do well, not that I was some Goff fanboy.... but I ain't gonna call him a bust this early
