Yeah but most of his fathers connections are now at the retirement home.

Except for the ones who were with Kubiak:

Key word is MOST, but not all. Though I'm not sure I agree even that "most" are out of the league, but the point is I think in the end we'll be perfectly fine when it comes to assembling a staff.

Mike coached just 3 years ago. He has plenty of connections.

Good article and it was an eye opener for me how the fans complained about Dennison saying their offense performed poorly the last 2 years.

Did you bother taking a look at that staff by chance? The vast majority of those guys were Kyle's connections who are either now with him in Atlanta, back in college or employed by other teams, one is even a HC(McVay).

If you look at most of Mike's staffs in Denver, most of those guys aren't in the league anymore.

The guys that are out there are those who worked under Kubiak for a long time and in some cases Mike but the majority are on the offensive side of the ball and of course those working with Kyle with the Falcons.

You guys think Kubiak would come in alongside Kyle as a consultant of some kind?

That doesn't mean he doesn't still have real active connections though, lol. Just because the ones that were on his staff were Kyle's connections or others that have moved on... doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't have other connections throughout the NFL. Not all your connections are on your staff at a given time.

It's been mentioned multiple times that he has tried hard to get back in the NFL via a gm/head coaching job. That tells me he's still got some clout regardless if it actually happened or not.

#Bears asst special teams coach Richard Hightower interviewed with Denver for that position. Possible Hightower could be considered by SF.

Hightower was with the 49ers in 2015 and was the replacement for Derius Swinton who left to become the 49ers special teams coach last year.

Also:

"working as an assistant special teams coach for four seasons in Washington (2010-13), adding the role of assistant defensive backs coach from 2012-13. Over his four seasons in Washington, the Redskins were third in the NFL in kickoff coverage, allowing just 21.2 yards per return, including leading the league in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, Redskins special teamer Lorenzo Alexander was named to the Pro Bowl after leading the NFL with 21 special teams tackles and first-year kicker Kai Forbath led the NFL with a 94.4 field goal percentage. Forbath broke an NFL record by hitting his first 17 career field attempts."
