For a f**king horrible coaching staff, a lot of those guys are still maintaining consistent NFL employment.

Geep Chryst still coaches in the NFL. So just sticking around doesn't make you a good coach.

Basically youre talking out of your ass. If you had a single clue about these guys you'd be working in the NFL and not some random schmoe ranting on a message board, youre no more credible than and just as full of s**t as anyone else here.

Inexperienced doesn't mean bad. Every great coach was an inexperienced coach that got a shot because someone recognized their potential.

Shanahan knows these guys, has worked with them, far more than I can say for you or I. Until proven otherwise I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he knows what he is doing.

Isn't the first time this has been brought up:

"This is the NFL, it's not supposed to be a training ground for coaches," said someone who has worked with Kyle Shanahan in Washington. "It's ridiculous. Look at this staff. It sucks. Mike's best buddy is (longtime Shanahan assistant and current linebackers coach Bob Slowik), and Slowik's son is in his second year out of college and he's on the staff. Everyone on the staff is in his first or second year except for Mike and Kyle and Haslett (defensive coordinator Jim Haslett) and Raheem (Morris, the secondary coach), and everyone knows Raheem is there because he is close with Kyle. Those two go way back.

"Kyle's not that confident, so they set him up with a bunch of yes men rather than have some experienced coaches to push him. It's like Kyle is the pied piper and these kids just follow him around. I mean, Mike has been a head coach for 20 years -- usually a guy like that has a posse he can bring with him. So he's got Bobby Turner (running backs coach) here, and Slowik, and that's it. How does that happen? How does he end up hiring all of his son's buddies?

"What Mike has allowed to happen there, with that staff, there is no excuse for. There are guys on that staff who are just not qualified, and it shows up. Have you seen the quarterback develop? Look at (defensive ends Brian) Orakpo and (Ryan) Kerrigan? Are they progressing or regressing? Are you seeing the offensive lineman they drafted making it to the field?' How many players are getting the kind of NFL coaching you'd expect on that staff?"

Yes, and this source has been proven correct by seeing how badly Kyle failed in Atlanta...oops!

After it came out that during the Harbaugh era Geep Chryst was in charge of calling all red zone plays, I place a huge amount of blame on him for losing the Super Bowl.

Nothing wrong with Chryst as a coach, he has a ceiling like everyone else and has no business being an OC in the NFL. On the other hand, nobody is blowing up Steve Logan's phone.

Looking at what those coaches have done in the NFL, that article is largely b******t. If the staff was as bad as claimed, the majority of those guys wouldnt consistently be getting work with various NFL coaches year after year. McVay definitely wouldnt be a 30 year old head coach.

Didn't go well his first year. Dan Quinn had to take Shanahan to California to meet with Matt Ryan to fix their relationship.

No one was blowing up Geeps number either. He was out of coaching the last two seasons.

So he hasnt been getting consistent work? Most of the guys from that "f**king awful" Redskins staff have.

Did Quin coach the offense or call offensive plays? No.

What does that have to do with the head coach needing to fix the relationship between the QB & OC? Ryan finished 2015 with 28 combined fumbles and INTs.

Shows that Shanahan can learn from his mistakes. This roster won't be rebuilt for 2+ years, which gives KS time to get the right assistants (as we get the right players), if the incoming guys prove incompetent.
1st time GM with a 1st time HC with a 1st time DC.

This should be interesting to say the least.

Your argument is the same as claiming that every drafted player is garbage because they have yet to reach All Pro status.

I guess you are just more naive then I am, you dont need to see the end result of a train wreck to know the results will be ugly.

You cant compare players to coaches, to be a coach in NFL you must come with experience or atleast merrit. Coaches need to command respect from the players, kyle and his kid cordinators will struggle in that dept. Just about any professional industry if you show up to an interview with no experience youre very unlikely to get the job. That should have been the case for most of the coaches on this staff, the 49ers just couldnt do any better apparently.

This reminds me of a quote from Braveheart "some men are longer than others"

Some men know more about football than others.

Dont be so hard on yourself, youll get there eventually.
