For a f**king horrible coaching staff, a lot of those guys are still maintaining consistent NFL employment.

Geep Chryst still coaches in the NFL. So just sticking around doesn't make you a good coach.

I think the point is the person who was blasting Shanahan was ridiculously wrong. Just because they're a friend of Kyle doesn't mean they don't know football.

About half of the coordinators/position coaches who were on Mike Shanahan's 2013 staff when he got fired were coaching for that ATL team in the Super Bowl. Aside from Kyle himself, he had Raheem Morris, Mike McDaniel, Matt LaFleur, and Bobby Turner. Also on that staff was the now Rams HC Sean McVay. McDaniel is noted by Pierre Garcon as the best WR coach he's ever had.

Bobby Slowik, Jr. who is on staff with us now is in the exact role you'd expect at this point in his coaching career -- quality control. So I see no glaring issues with this staff, especially if we indeed hire Benton away from Denver to coach the OL. It'll be a well balanced group in terms of experience and upside, so it would make absolutely zero sense for anyone to claim this is even remotely close to being a staff comprised of unqualified newbies.

(Note: this isn't directed specifically at yourself, JCool. Just generally speaking here.)

Well by all means, be sure to let us know when you start to learn.

Yes, and this source has been proven correct by seeing how badly Kyle failed in Atlanta...oops!

Didn't go well his first year. Dan Quinn had to take Shanahan to California to meet with Matt Ryan to fix their relationship.

Did Quin coach the offense or call offensive plays? No.

What does that have to do with the head coach needing to fix the relationship between the QB & OC? Ryan finished 2015 with 28 combined fumbles and INTs.

You are assuming Shanahan was the problem and you are ignoring the fact that he ran a very effective offense. You are bent out of shape because he had an issue with Ryan, who may have been upset at having to work hard to learn Shanahan's offense. Well too bad! QB don't get to pick their HC unless they are Elway or Manning.. Perhaps he had a flashback and thought Ryan was RGIII.

I am not assuming anything. He was the problem. It was pretty well documented. Its good thing Dan Quinn got him to work things out or who knows who would be the GM and coach of the 49ers right now.
Holy s**t wtf are we all f*****g complaining about!?

We get the best head coaching candidate this off season (which by the way, everybody was claiming was going to change his mind) and Jed and Paarage couldn't and wouldn't deliver because the same people complaining now said that no one wanted to work for them and we're still f*****g whining!

I swear this place is filled with self entitled middle school girls

You're just now figuring this out? The constant pissing and moaning is why I don't post much anymore. I'm sick of seeing it all the time.

This.
So exciting to see what Shanahan can do to supplement this roster with playmakers via FA & the draft to help make this team a contender once again! With the help he is going to receive from Lynch & the staff i think we will soon have a very fast, physical & aggressive team playing out there with 1 of thee best offensive playcallers in the NFL scheming things up for us!
Considering we got Shanahan on board so late, I'm just glad he was able to assemble his staff as quickly as he has. Time was against us!

I expect his staff to change here-and-there over the next year or two. This isn't a quick fix. This is a longer term plan to build towards success.

It's going to be a lot of fun watching this rebuild!!!

You cant compare players to coaches, to be a coach in NFL you must come with experience or atleast merrit. Coaches need to command respect from the players, kyle and his kid cordinators will struggle in that dept. Just about any professional industry if you show up to an interview with no experience youre very unlikely to get the job. That should have been the case for most of the coaches on this staff, the 49ers just couldnt do any better apparently.

Hahaha this is such a b******t comment...apparently you need to be 50+ to be a good coach. Please go tell that to John madden, bill cowher, mike Tomlin, don shula, mike shanahan, John gurden etc all were in the mid 30s when named HCs and even younger when they were coordinators.

Exactly.
Look, I understand everyone has their own opinion and that's fine, but it's the way they present their opinion that's bothersome. They constantly bash the s**t out of something that clearly doesn't warrant it yet.

If humanity had that same thinking most have on these forums, a lot of us wouldn't be here. For example, the doctor would take a look at me when I first came out of my mommas vagina and say "hey sorry ma'am but your baby looks like he won't contribute anything to society" then proceed to get rid of me by tossing me off a cliff like the Spartans did 300 style.

Come to think of it, if the Spartans kept all their babies, they wouldn't have been stuck with just 300 and probably would have had a better chance at defeating the Persians.
