Outside of GM, though, DC is the spot I'm most interested in since the offense will be Kyle's anyway. Both guys we've been connected to so far (Bradley and Manuel) are from the Carroll tree. Manuel has only coached for 5 years (1 on ST, 4 secondary). I'd rather pair a new HC with an experienced DC, but that pool is dwindling.

One of Shanahan's real pluses WRT forming his staff is he's been around enough to have quite a few excellent contacts from the 'Skins, Atlanta, & Houston. I'd imagine his staff will be a composite of fellow coaches from those teams, no matter where they are now. Works for me...can't wait for him to get started.
