The GM doesn't need to have a relationship with players. He needs to run a solid scouting organization and pick good players. This guy has no experience running anything--except to the men's room.

OK, now this would make a LOT of sense. If Lynch is GM, but he has Dominik to run the scouting and Gamble to run the pro player evaluation, then Lynch is more the "big picture" Elway role for sure.

This would actually turn out to be a decent FO if true.

Dominik will likely be brought in as Lynch's personnel chief, the same exact setup Elway has in Denver. I imagine he and Gamble will handle most of the personnel and scouting load.

One thing is for sure, 49ers fans are smart and intelligent. let's give Lynch a chance. If he screws up we will be the first to let Jed and his Mom and Dad know.

Mark Dominik would be my guess. Lynch knows him from his Tampa Days, Shanahan knows him from his Tampa days.

Does this make you ok with it? Because if Lynch is essentially the "football lifer at the top" that everyone said they wanted a few weeks ago this could all turn out to be a great structure.
