Nobody cares that you are not a fan anymore.

And that's another reason I'm leaving. All in all this is one of the least caring group of people I have ever been around...

The Niners will be on Hard Knocks soon.... right before the 2018 season

Should have just given it to Ronnie Lott. At least he is a beloved former 9er with the same amount of experience.

I agree. Couldn't get a former 9er?

Jed avoids former 49ers players , seems he doesnt want anything to do with Uncle Eddie's tree, wants his own mess.

You beat me to it, I was about to say the same thing! So now we are running the WCO but drafting for the Tampa 2 defense?

Jed hates Eddie D's players if he's bringing in star players from other organizations to run this team!

Malik hooker.

Not so soon. This is going to be the Kyle Shanahan Show, didn't you get the memo?

Obviously, this is a name given to Jed by Kyle after consulting Mike.

Mitch Trubisky, come on down!! LOL.

How can this ever be justified? John Elway had experience in football management and showed demonstrated acumen. Lynch has nothing to warrant this position. They could have had one of the best prospects in Patton. Even then their second choice was for more experienced and proven than many other potential candidates. But Lynch!! Huh!! It tells me that Parag and Jed are simply not prepared for their jobs. They continue to make one catastrophic decision after another. They live in some kind of disconnected fantasy world divorced from what it actually takes to be successful in the NFL. Why in the hell would you ever give a 6 year contract to someone with no experience, no credentials, no time even as a coach or coordinator. This guy can only be a figure head. What does he know about managing a whole football organization? This is a HUGE leap for him, in a situation that is already a dumpster fire of chaos. To expect someone like Paton to come in a straighten this mess out is reasonable. But, someone with no experience other than playing safety and TV announcing. Sorry, but unless you get someone of the level of the candidates they interviewed to actually take over the day to day and relegate Lynch to being a figurehead, this things is going to implode like nothing you have never seen.

I've been a fan since the early 80's and have gone through many ups and downs. Can't take it anymore. This kind of abysmal, incalculable incompetence is simply too much for me to handle. I simply cannot support this level of arrogance, incompetence and disconnect from reality...

Fans stick with their team no matter what.. you might have been a "fan" since the 80s but if you're ready to leave after this cause they're hiring an unknown... then I highly doubt you've been a "fan" the whole time.. they were just as bad earlier this decade for 10 years

So have a good time rooting another team sure you'll be back once a season like 2011 happens again
lol the pitch forks and stakes are out on the zone!!

Just give it some time. Let's see too if they bring on an assistant. Titles can be so misleading.
Shanahan most likely will have full say in the draft and other stuff.
Either way let's let it take it's course. At least he's no fkn bum.
Plus we should be grateful we most likely will be getting a good coach too.
He's going to be a good GM.

If it's Dominik + Lynch, I'm pretty psyched. Great personnel guy to team up with a smart, charismatic, hall-of-famer that is well respected and connected throughout the league. I think this could work out pretty well.

Hoping thats his +1 per Pro Football Talk

then what if he isn't? another 3-5 years wasted. one of those two positions needed a strong experience person. Jed chose 2 fresh fish off the water. I really hope it works but you gotta be realistic and see Jed is afraid of people with presence.

You could say that about many hires but Superbowl teams aren't formed by following the status quo.

That is what I am expecting. If Lynch is bringing a personnel guy, Dominik makes too much sense, he has connections to everyone, although it could still be someone out of left field as well so we'll have to see.

How is Dominik when it comes to personnel?
