Be difficult to afford him when they have other things they might need to prioritized higher (O Line, Kicker).

CB hopefully too. S...J.Ward will probably follow Tartt out of the league. Maybe.

Kinlaw's last year is next year. Unfortunately that's a $4,928,223 hit no matter what.

49ers should have space for Payne, I doubt they spend top dollar on a O-lineman. I'm hoping they can spend money on Payne or a Safety.

They definitely aren't spending big on oline that's a fact they haven't done it now unless you're the best olineman in the league and they won't start now. Definitely can see them going after Payne as a FA, I'm sure by now they're fed up with Kinlaw and even if he can play he's due to miss at least 5 games plus.

it's a no for me. If it was 3 years ago maybe. But if Rodgers is available I'm taking the younger of the old guys.

As backups, sure. Brady can promote his TB12 and Rodgers can smoke peyote on the sidelines.

There's no way either of these two will ever be backups. Tom won't stop unless he's carried out on his shield.

I mean TBF, a backup here is simply a starter-in-waiting so it wouldn't be a hard sale.
Looking at the rams collapse, I'm hoping we are not seeing the Niner's future given all the draft capital we have dumped. Hopefully all those thirds turn into quality depth. The Rams look decimated.

No matter what, they have a SB win. No matter how much they lose, their strategy paid off.

49ers currently have 9 draft picks in the upcoming draft. More picks on the way with Ryan's.
49ers lead the league by a mile in acquiring free draft capital via the minority coaching rules

That's one way to look at it… another way to look at it is that rams fans are absolutely miserable…. Let's see if memories can keep them happy as they dwell in the cellar.

This team year after year doesn't give up 1sts, they will be nothing like LA. Add the fact they draft well late and put emphasis in depth

id gladly go through a 2-3 year collapse if it was because we just brought home the 49ers 6th lombardi trophy.
