I'll excuse this cause I made the same mistake calling Adam Peters Adam Gase.

I can see Lynch walking away and going back to tv if we win the SB but then again I can see him being the competitor he is trying to repeat

Bwahahaha.

I appreciate your forgiveness.
we go through this every year lol. We all love Peters, but I mean how much do we know on what he does compared to Lynch and Co.? I don't want to lose Peters but I feel like it's gonna happen at some point. I guess we will find out when he's gone.

I read Breer's GM article the other day and he said when Kyle Smith left DC, there was a real chance he was gonna replace Lynch if he left for TV. Smith is currently the VP of personnel in ATL.

Yeah, lots of assumptions but it certainly seems like Peters and the scouts really nail those later round picks which Kyle and Lynch defer too. Even with Brock you hear about it starting with Slowik, Griese and Peters. I think we have an idea Kyle isn't the greatest evaluator. He knows what he wants but isn't the best. Lynch, I'd assume gets the top pick, Kyle the second, etc. But who 'really' knows...hopefully we don't have to find out anytime soon. There's a simple solution here unless Lynch has other plans this off season.

See how do we know it's mainly Peters and the scouts on the late picks? Why are they not part of the more important picks? I would expect Peters who's the main dude here in regards to scouting/drafting to have a pretty prominent say in those higher picks all the same. Dude LOVED Foster. I remember him talking about it.

Brock was looked at before Griese was even a Niner. SF was interested in him last yr if he was gonna declare. I'm just not down with the "assumption" stuff. We all love Peters, but let's stop "assuming" anything good was him and everything bad was someone else just because.
Lynch better make his intentions known before we lose Adam Peters.

If Lynch wants to move on to do something else, then we can just put Adam in the GM Role. Of course if he is committed on staying here a few more years, then ok, we can probably make do without Peters.

Simply put, Peters manages the scouts. Both Kyle and John state they lean on their scouts in those later rounds because they're far more in the weeds with the more obscure players. I'd imagine this would be normal. Lynch also noted before day 3, he basically has all of them write down "their guy." Ultimately in the end, you're going to have guys like Kocurek stand on tables and it's still up to John and Kyle to ultimately make the pick. I actually appreciate how JL gives credit to the others. A dude like Baalke would never do that.
My point is if it was all peters, then everyone in-house would notice. They would be doing everything in their power to make sure that he doesn't leave.

Actually Lynch manages the scouts and if we want to get real technical, Tariq Ahmad is the director of scouting department.

you keep using the terms I "imagine" and "assuming"…that's where I have issue with all of it…no one is saying Peters isn't a massive part or everything, but if it was all Peters they wouldn't let him leave or be interested in Kyle Smith as a possible GM replacement last off season.
Will Lynch / Peters end up being a Kyle/McDaniels thingy of whos the real genius lol....
