Unfortunately, this is incorrect. If/when Ryans gets hired, we'd get another 3rd round pick in the 2025 draft. Meaning, we'd get 3 total.
If Carthon and Ryans were hired in different years, we'd get 2 each. If both hired in the same year, we get 3 total. This is what happened with Saleh/Mayhew, when we received a 3rd in 21/22/23.
Extra 3rds picked up: (*Ryans is speculative)
2021: 1 (Saleh/Mayhew)
2022: 2 (Saleh/Mayhew, McDaniel)
2023: 3 (Saleh/Mayhew, McDaniel, Carthon)
2024: 1 (Carthon)
2025: 1 (Carthon/Ryans)

So that's 3 3rd round picks we own at the moment?
Don't mind this at all. We seem to do really well in the later rounds and we have the team/depth to draft guys and let them learn for a year. Huf, Banks, Drake etc
A nice production line also means we can be more strategic in FA. Developing from within and losing more guys than we gain equals more comp picks and the cycle continues.

Congrats to Ran Carthon! Great to have those picks also. It's good that A Peters removed his name for the Cards and Titans openings and this probably opened for Carthon to have a shot.

Actually they do. If ryans goes this year the niners only get 1 3rd for him in 2025. If he goes next year they would get a '24 and '25 for him.
