This is awesome for everyone. Minorities are getting more opportunities and teams are getting rewarded for developing them. Wonder who will take his spot?

In the off season the fans of whichever team has Mr Irrelevant will be talking about potentially getting their own Brock Purdy (even if it's a non QB position).
He's already got a legacy after only 7 games.

Yay more comp picks! And we should get two more 3rd RD picks once Jimmy and Demeco move on elsewhere.

That's the other aspect of this, how eager do you think promising candidates will be to come and work for an organization like the 49ers, especially promising minority candidates who are seeing this pipeline happening as the team has shown that if you bust your ass, they'll promote you and keep promoting you?

Exactly. Since this new incentive program came out it's been the 49ers that both are showing the rest of the NFL how it's done and benefiting from it the most; aside from our guys getting these roles of course. Hope we keep it going both in the FO and our coaching staff!

We need to restock our African American personnel. Who's left that has the potential to move up and be in demand with Carthon being the latest departure? Btw congratulations to Carthon for the much deserved GM opportunity. Unfortunately we lose another key figure in helping our organization become what it.
It's somewhat sad that the 49ers fan base never gives the proper credit to the outstanding job that the African American personnel people have done for this organization since Shanahan/Lynch regime took over. Congrats to the team run by Jed York on being out in front of giving meaningful roles to African Americans and not just burying them as a position coach somewhere. It's always about Adam Peters like he's the only important piece behind the scenes, which certainly has never been true. Peters is a good GM type candidate but so was Martin Mayhew, now the GM of the Commanders, and so was Ran Carthon, now the GM of the Titans. Mayhew has already shown true promise in the role, and I believe Carthon will do very well in Tennessee.

Interesting that the Titans didn't promote the guy the Cardinals chose as GM.

Unfortunately, this is incorrect. If/when Ryans gets hired, we'd get another 3rd round pick in the 2025 draft. Meaning, we'd get 3 total.
If Carthon and Ryans were hired in different years, we'd get 2 each. If both hired in the same year, we get 3 total. This is what happened with Saleh/Mayhew, when we received a 3rd in 21/22/23.
Extra 3rds picked up: (*Ryans is speculative)
2021: 1 (Saleh/Mayhew)
2022: 2 (Saleh/Mayhew, McDaniel)
2023: 3 (Saleh/Mayhew, McDaniel, Carthon)
2024: 1 (Carthon)
2025: 1 (Carthon/Ryans)
That's what I said (or at least was trying too lol)
if a HC/GM get hired same cycle you get 3 3rds in back to back to back yrs. If it's just one HC or GM then it's 2 back to back 3rds.

As NY85 noted, Ryans will be a 3rd too x2.
You get back to back to back 3rds if both guys are hired in same cycle. You get back to back if it's just one guy.

Most of us do, but this is just the way things work.
Now it is up to the FO to find the next DJ Jones.
