Hopefully Gardner-Johnson

Who would sit Huff or Gibson?
The moves our FO is making leads me to think this is the "push all the chips in" type of season and suffer the cap consequences later. Our window in this season and next. We must win it all because the Rams' fate awaits us.

I like it, if we are going to lose let's do so by taking our medicine and living in cap hell for a few years.

But let's do so after we win a sixth ring!

He can play exclusively in nickel like he did for the Saints. Problem is you want him to play every down.

Yes I want a playmaker playing every down.

You would be paying him a free agent contract, he better start!

Contracts right now are going to be massive. Look at MM

As exciting as the hyperbole of the "SUPER BOWL OR BUST!" attitude is, I don't think the 49ers will ever truly be in that state. We'll make big swings, yes, but the Yorks, John Lynch, and Kyle Shanahan have each voiced over the years that the sentiment is to compete year in and year out, like the other model franchises in the last two decades (Patriots, Ravens, Steelers, etc).

We'll make moves, but they'll be calculated and measured. I think Paraag Marathe is just too skilled in managing the cap for us to be of the same fate as the Rams.

Those teams all have something that we don't have over the past two decades.

Wanna guess what that is?

Sounds good, but we haven't been competing every year anyway.
I think Trent, CMC, and Kittle want to win more than get paid fat right now. I can totally see them restructure so we can get guys like Gardner, Campbell, Mack etc. not all of them but hopefully a few.

I wouldn't mind us going all in right now because our QBs cap situation.

Mack restructured, so he's staying put.

would be nice to get Gardner

Cap is going up substantially in 24. Rams fate won't await us the next couple years. Probably have decisions to make in 25 but if they keep drafting well it can be absorbed.

Our comp pick game is outta control. Lol

Ah I missed that. Thanks for correcting me. I just hope we get someone of quality!

If the Lynch and Niners can free up cap space, CJ Gardner-Johnson would be great for our secondary. He is young, versatile and hit like a brick house.

I wish we could could sign Orlando Brown and play at RT. He wants LT money, but if he can somehow get signed this may be a great way to keeping our QBs healthy. I get we cannot sign everyone, but he maybe the successor for Trent Williams at LT one day.
Let's go Lynch make it happen. One more big ticket FA.
