I think it would be a fair statement to say the Eagles are better than us right now, and it's growing. Are rumors on moves to catch up?

Things might look completely different if Purdy didn't get injured in the title game.

Pat Mahomes transcended not breaking his ankle from Arden Key and not dying in the AFC title game.

Now you know why Trey was training with him: "How you do dat?"

The hope I have for the Offensive line is that the sum is greater than the parts. OLine is the only place where if all five players operate as one unit/mind, then you can get by with lesser talent if that talent is so in synch that they can pick up the blitzes and stunts without issue. At least that's my hope, considering I all that's left for any OLine talent is the 6th and 7th rounds now for this years draft.

Having said all that, I still like the draft and what ShanaLynch have picked. I just wish they picked some Offensive Line talent, is all.

They lost 7 key starters and are starting a bunch of young inexperienced guys. Relax.

they'll be good, no doubt, but I think the cowboys will beat them out for the division.

Are we gonna do anything about getting a deep threat to compliment the offense? I know I know, we drafted Danny Gray, but he never did anything.

They got Gray, also add that a lot of rookies struggle year 1 under Kyle and 3 it'll be extremely difficult for a rookie wr to make this team when Deebo, Aiyuk, Jennings, McCloud, Gray are locks and I doubt they carry 6

Kyle's basic scheme doesn't include a lot of deep passes. You also need a big arm QB if your going to start chucking the ball 50 yards downfield.
I honestly like the picks, but these last three better be o-lineman. It's incredible to me that they aren't throwing more bodies at it.

It's because they value what they have more. Was a weak draft for OL overall so they didn't like anyone at their spots. Is what it is.

Still FAs they can get Monday if they want.

I get it, but when we hit the season and the right side is getting the QB killed we will be thinking the same thing yet again.

It's news to me that this was a weak OLine draft. It will be interesting to see if any undrafted OLinemen make the team this year, because I don't have high hopes they will draft an OLineman in the 7th round. Hope I'm wrong though. Good point about free agent OLinemen, they restructured CMC for a reason, so maybe they got a good free agent OLineman ready to sign?

Small sample size, but wasn't McKivitz graded higher than McGlinchey in pass protection? Furthermore, the right side was the departed MM and a rookie Burford, and they didn't get the QB killed last year. Why do you think that will happen with Burford having a year under his belt and McKivitz who could possibly be an upgrade in pass pro?
Now that the draft is over I'm hoping we still bring in a veteran pass rusher
Two TEs under 250 LBS. and 2 LBs under 230 LBS. Not a single OL or interior defensive lineman. I'm not sure what their plan was going into the draft but this has to be the lightest by weight of any draft in team history. The last time the Niners didn't draft at least on OL or DT was 2006.

The average weight of all the guys they drafted is 218 LBS. Baseball players weigh more than that. I see they signed an OL who weighs 295. That's a little small too.

Who knows? I can't believe not one o lineman.
"You get a pick! And you get a pick!! And YOU get a pick!!! Everybody gets a pick!"

Let's review who's got the pull this year:
Brian Griese - Sam Darnold

Chris Foerster - Colton McKivitz, Jon Feliciano & Matt Pryor
Kris Kocurek - Javon Hargrave, Clelin Ferrell, Kevin Givens, Austin Bryant, Kerry Hyder & Robert Beal Jr.
Johnny Holland - Dee Winters & Jalen Graham
Steve Wilks - Tashaun Gipson, Miles Hartsfield, Isaiah Oliver, Ji'Ayir Brown & Darell Luter Jr.
Brian Schneider - Jake Moody

The more I look into the guys we drafted, I love it. I wish we could of snagged some o lineman like everyone else but our scouts didn't like the guys, apparently.

we targeted a ton of really fast players who are mature/leaders (captains). We added a TON of speed to our defense with Beal (4.4), Winters (idk his but he plays like lightening), Graham (4.6).

The corner we got seems ready to make an immediate contribution, very talented and mature.

awesome kicker!

i think Brown will be a stud safety for us - his play style fits us perfectly.

it looks like wilks is planning to blitz more than we have in the past and we have some young guys who can do it.
the defensive players will be huge playing alongside Bosa/Gravedigger/Armstead - so they won't be as much of liabilities as rookies usually are cause they'll make 'em better.

great job. I'm very excited to see how these players contribute!! Very talented players
