they are actually one day part, on birthdays, they both turn soon.. so D Hop will be 31. Receivers start to more or less hit the wall, at the age 32 season. Hop was famously suspended for performance enhancing stuff, and my suspicion is he needed the stuff, cuz he no longer has that juice to get separation on his own.

he can still be okay as a WR2 or WR3, with that limitation, thanks to his frame and his great hands, but the past All Pro type stuff is just that, the past imo

My question about BUF is they have Gabe Davis and Diggs, who can both play on the outside. Hop also plays on the outside. BUF needs a slot.
Not saying you are wrong on BUF, but I don't see it as a perfect fit.

They've been linked to him for a while now. Initially it was trade talks.

He must have fallen off a lot worse than I thought, considering AZ couldn't find a single trade partner. That's a huge red flag. If Hopkins was as good as he had been previously, there's no way someone wouldn't have traded something for him.

Based on what Hop was saying, I'm guessing the fits for him in his mind would be:

BUF, PHI, SF, DEN, CIN, BAL, DAL, NYJ, KC, LAC, LAR

But depending on what his price is, many of those may not have the cap room. And many of those teams may not have a spot for this guy either.

After.a string of 7 thousand yard or near seasons, his last two years netted 572 and 717 yards. Carolina hadn't given up on CMC and washed their hands of him, unlike the Cards. I don't think your comparison carries much value to be honest. Hopkins was available for a trade for some time. Nobody wanted him.

I don't think CMC and D Hop situations are similar, but my gut feeling is similar. I thought CMC wasn't done yet and that his injuries were behind him. I feel right now D Hop isn't done yet and was in a terrible Cardinals situation the past 2 years. I don't think he's washed
