if John is still butting heads with Kyle and this season doesn't go according to plan.. maybe John leaves for TV work, or maybe goes down to Dallas and works with Jerrah!

Lmao no way in f**king hell will John leave here to GM in Dallas when Jerry and his son Stephen run the team. He will never have say, if he leaves it's for TV where there's no stress and a bigger paycheck

Trust me I took that into consideration.... but Jerrah is getting close to....close to you know what... and I feel he's desperate to win one again ASAP...and would be open to something like that. John would obviously do/say the s**t he said to the Yorks, before accepting anything.

lol gut feeling. more like you desperately want to believe a schism was created between Kyle and John because of Lance's trade. you couldn't possibly accept that the reality is more likely that Lance just wasnt good enough.why do you feel a need to create some non existent controversy and then to expand on it with this utter Dallas nonsense? is it comforting the grief youre dealing with?

Well, Papa reported Trey was a turnover machine running the Practice team, trey missed last year and had 5 or so passes bounce off the wrong colored jerseys in preseason.... it is what it is.

As far as Lynch goes, he was genuinely surprised someone offered a 4th for Trey.....that is not the response from someone who thinks his 3rd team QB is solid gold.

Why such a bad offseason?

QB - TBD on > or even or <
Secondary - step back?
Offensive line - par or step back
ST - worse
Injuries - same
ER2 - worse

How have we improved to beat Seattle, Dallas, Philly, etc. to get to and WIN the Superbowl?

To me, it's the exact same team as every year.

Lol well when you have such an incredibly high bar as Trent Baalke I can see why you would think this was a terrible offseason

?

No one disputes Trey requested a trade, including Trey.

Every report that I have seen, from every member of the front office and coaching staff that has changed jobs have all said there is a desirable fusion between Lynch and Kyle. Something most want to reproduce in their new positions.

What have you heard that leads you to think Kyle forced Trey out and that Lynch and Shanny are butting heads?

Kyle forced Trey into wanted to get traded. He basically told him it would be best for Trey to play somewhere else. (Kyle's own words) Trey had asked if he could practice his way to the #2 position during the season, and Kyle said that was unrealistic and that Trey wouldn't get many if any reps.

Also the fact that you quote the team PR head who had many chances to mention Trey throwing a bunch of INTs in practice last year.. had chances to say it last year... this offseason... and during this QB battle.. but nope. Only brought it up (without context) when it was beneficial for the team to damage control, after they traded/wasted 3 1st round picks for a late 4th round pick.

I don't view Kyle being straight and keeping it on the level with his player as bad. The end result is Trey would be here if he wanted to be here. Trey's rep looked for trade partners, and Trey decided to be a 3 somewhere else.

I also give Papa credit for not damaging the brand until Trey was out the door. He controlled drama and persevered Trey's trade value as much as he could.

I personally am fine with that, and glad it is someone else's issue now. I am also thankful for the perspective because it answers a lot of questions that surround Trey.

the team gains absolutely nothing by publicly trashing Trey with untruths on his way out. in fact it would be detrimental to the current team if Papa was lying about Trey's performance. you dont really think thru your theories very well.

As if that has not happened before? How often do we hear Papa bringing up Jimmy not returning calls. He JUST brought it up again last week, after Jimmy innocently said his/QB situation was weird last year.

but it's true. players and coaches have said the same thing. Papa's not making that up like you claim he is about Trey INTs.

To me, it's the exact same team as every year.

You can't automatically assume those things, Drake was on pace for what Omenihu & Ebukam did sack wise, I don't see him as worse than those 2. Injuries are a bit less, not really a main guy hurt, just McCloud, we'll see how STs is, I agree with that. DBs I like, second yr for Gipson & Huf, Ward a top 10 CB, Lenoir is improved, Ambry too. OL is what it is, not enough good OL to go around in the NFL, we have 4 solid to great starters, 1 question mark, who has looked good. Not a bad offseason when you sign the top FA(Hargrave). And those teams lost players too.

That was kind of my point. Omenihu and Ebukam weren't good enough opposite Bosa last year and going from veterans to Drake and Ferrell? That doesn't seem like an upgrade either. It's possible but I'm just looking at proven talent.

Hargrave is certainly an epic get, no doubt. We also lost a lot from that #1 ranked defense too and already had injury and contract concerns.

But to your point, it's football so all of these concerns could end up being big upgrades. If so, game on!

Philly got worse, Dallas stayed the same, Seattle for slightly better. We'll see

What do you mean? Dallas got way better. They got Trey. Haha. Too soon?

Hey John said it himself to Grant in the press conference.

Grant asked did Sam really blow away Trey in training camp and practice enough to be named #2 QB. Grant (and many local media) felt it was not the separation Kyle tried to give off, and John agreed with him that there was not separation in his eyes. But then followed that up with "but coaches make those decisions".

the first crack. 👀

Ohhhh.

Trent Baalke turned that franchise around as fast as John Lynch. LOL. He's the man. I knew he could "...do it again." j/k

I didn't say he lied.. imo he purposely said that without giving context. As the scout team QB, the defense wanted Trey to not play carefree and let it rip in practice no? Has Brock not thrown a bunch of INTs in practice?

Why does it all the sudden matter now?

youre leaving out that Papa said the INTs caused Trey to lose confidence. the INTs themselves werent necessarily the issue, Trey's reaction and performance to those INTs were the issue.

Brock doesnt have confidence issues.

When has Trey shown this in real games? In front of our eyes?

Against the Cards in his rookie year, his first NFL start... threw an early INT... bounced back.. he helped drive the ball in Cards territory 8 out of 9 drives.

Against the Texans, in a lose and miss the playoff scenario... he threw an early INT.. and bounced back and helped us win that game and keep our playoff hopes alive.

This preseason same s**t... playing with the backup oline and recievers... had some bad drives to start the game... finished strong.

Greg Papa is full of s**t.
Let me ask you guys something:

If you could get a truthful 100% honest answer from someone on the topic as a close confidant with the condition of not telling anyone, who would you rather ask about Lance and the 49er QBs?

Kyle or one of the 49er offensive star players?

Like I wonder what Aiyuk, Kittle, Juice, Deebo, CMC, would say about Lance, Purdy, Darnold, hell even Jimmy too....
