I agree, and I think Kerry Hyder is available. I think Houston Texans let him go a couple of weeks ago.

I kind of like to see more of Kalia Davis, Javon Kinlaw, and Ty McGill these next couple of games - you can always plug and Play Suh later in the season and in the playoffs if nobody has picked him up. I think if things work out, Davis and Kinlaw might get us some comp picks if they are signed away next year. 49ers have had some decent luck in getting day three DT's.
Kalia Davis is out the rest of the year.
Sucks! But Kalia's had some injury issues. Thank god it's a high ankle and not a ACL or Achillies. He'll be back - possibly before the super bowl. We shall see.

Do we know who takes his roster spot? I'm assuming McGill will, I like him a lot, he can play both DT & NT IMO.

I wouldn't say terrible, sure he was blocked out of a few plays but he had a sack-force fumble. Now Kinlaw and Givens vs the run were terrible.

Dude is sighing his AARP paperwork and he's a dirty player anyway, no thanks.
I'm not asking him to play 50 snaps a game. We're getting moved around in the run game and missing tackles. Dudes is strong as a ox, just want him to take on blockers to free up everyone else on those early downs

Agree, that experience is definitely important, but talent is the difference-maker. 1988 the 49ers had talent but not a lot of experience and did ok. The next year they had more experience and really kicked some butt.

I also get the feeling that it's mutual. 49ers don't really like his character at all, I think.

He was the 2nd to last graded player against Arizona, he was bad.

They were interested last year.
