Dude can play zone, man, inside, outside, defend the run and helps set the tone with his physicality in the secondary. Hard to find those types of CBs.

He's ok but not elite as you're trying to say. If we let him go our D won't be crushed.

We're not winning Super Bowls with our current players so we need to do something different

You think just ok CBs can do everything he listed that Dmo does? lol
Justin Simmons is still out there, and the Titans IIRC were supposedly the most interested team like two weeks ago but they just traded for Sneed. Maybe something's brewing with him first before we sign Blackmon?

I read that he wants the moon for his next contract....kinda makes sense since he's still a really good player and still available.

I brought this up in the Lenior thread. They need to do something now b/c his price tag is going up again after this season.

Make him exclusively the slot. Slot CB's are cheaper.

Yup. This is why need that 2nd outside corner to play well, be it Thomas, Luter, or Isaac.

Even then, he will probably end up being one of the highest paid slot CBs, which is fine given his versatility. This all depends on him having another solid year though.

We can't afford Brock, BA, & two high paid CBs, Mooney needs a new deal, we likely lose a good amount of good players in 2025, Lenoir, Dre, Banks, & Hufanga

What if we had traded BA?

About the players you say we're gonna lose honestly none of them deserves a big deal and we know that they're not paying big money to a guard. Well maybe Dre worths big money but we know what happened.

On the other hand, having 2 really good edge-rushers and 2 really good outside CB's can make a huge impact on today's NFL.

Sure you could, but why would you trade the best all around WR on the team just to sign a CB? When there aren't many/any elite ones FAs, sure Surtain would be nice, but we have Mooney, and 2 EDGEs, in this day & age, it's not completely possible to pay two high end EDGEs, we see LAC doing it because they had to redo both of their deals, and trade Allen, release Williams, I think we got better on the DL with Floyd, Gross-Matos, Collins, & Elliott, Floyd is better than Young, Gross-Matos should be a nice rotational guy, I don't agree with the deal, but it's not my money, they see something in him, so I trust them & Kocurek, now Collins is more durable than AA ever was, & Elliott is better than Kinlaw, plus we brought Givens back on a cheap deal.
We need to have an amazing draft this year. So important for our continued success.

Yup. Exactly.
Thinking ahead. Steelers got a jump on it.

Is there anyone we can get?
Damn, now AA is pissed at our FO too. Feeling disrespected? That's not like AA at all. BA too?

What do you think is going on here?

I don't think there's a single player in the NFL who doesn't overrate themselves when it comes to money and worth
This ain't about being disrespected because the team respectfully gave you an offer they thought was commensurate of your value and you respectfully declined it

This is about business and numbers matter. The number ain't about respect but about value. You found a better number elsewhere then good for you and thank you for your service

Difference of opinion. Team felt one way about his salary and he felt the other way. And whatever the offer was to him made him feel disrespected. In his opinion it wasn't good enough. Pretty simple. Regular on the job s**t that a lot us at some point has to deal with. I don't have any issue with what AA said. He didn't come off disgruntled and bitter in the clip. Them man felt disrespected. Who are we to tell him how he should've felt. It's his feelings. .
