Offensive line on the right side and Defensive line interior were needs. As is LB with the Greenlaw injury. Especially ignoring Offensive line with all but 1 pick up until now is unconscionable. We needed more than 1 offensive linemen. Multiple positions. Maybe even higher. I like the one we got. But we continue to ignore this. There is no way you could watch this team and think we need 1 Offensive linemen in the draft. It's just unbelievable. Some good players but still missing on needs. At some point they have to FORCE picking Offensive line. Many and high up too. We can't keep doing this. At this point the one we got has to work out, stay healthy and play multiple positions. That's a lot to ask.

All the OLs that would be first-year starters were gone by #31. At that point, you look for BPA in a position of need. At this very early point, it looks like they did that. We could quibble over 10-15 slots but they picked quality players.

They just picked an OG from a quality program that will add some depth.

Didn't address most of the glaring issues, run-stuffing DT, centerfield FS, 60% of the OL. Puni was a decent pickup and Green addresses a need but was a reach and not a great scheme fit to boot.

They missed on a lot of needs and went for a lot of gadget players.

I like the one they got and he's one of my favorite picks in this years draft for this team. But I just feel we should have done more and earlier on the Offensive line. We have a lot of needs there. Instead they loaded up on Kyle gadget players for the offense. I don't think we need more of those. Assuming we are healthy at least. We have to fix that Offensive line if we ever want to win the Super Bowl.

We've got plenty of OL depth. The problem is they are starting.
Gonna sound weird but I wouldn't have minded going d line as well. It feels like after missing out on kinlaw and Jackson and arnstead injured, we lost our edge in the trenches. Trent is the only physically dominant player there. Bosa is a great rusher but also became a liability in the run game.

Not really. Bosa is still one of the best run-stuffing edges in the game among elite pass rushers.

Yeah, not sure where's he's getting that.

I personally don't like the draft even after it's played out. I agree with your points of needs. I'm surprised they didn't go LB too. 100% agree about oline.

Going 2 WRs fairly early and a RB somewhat early is a killer for me for this draft. So many more important areas to address and other players we could've gone. Other than QB, I think RB and WR were our least areas of concerns going into the year.

I don't think you can call WRs that can beat man coverage "gadget" players. Both serve a defined purpose in the system. Green will be a quality CB. Puni is a stud that can push Moore and Burford off the roster, maybe even beat out McKivitz. Guerendo, with Mason and Mitchell both FA next year, fills a need (I would not be surprised to see him #2 RB by the end of the season.)

There was no quality OL value there when we were picking. Now we get depth in the 6th. It is just the way the draft fell. I like the picks.

Jackson still has time but it needs to happen this year. If he is s**t again, they need to move him. We can't keep wasting spots for garbage.

We really need a run-stopping nose. It's been a need for a couple years now and the FO keeps piling up undersized penetrators.

Agree. We still don't have that guy. Need a guy for 2 downs only to really maximize the Hargrave signing. I think the 49ers just intend to play from ahead as their run defense.

I like some of the players they got. But they are not at need positions. Especially Offensive line. Minus 1 somewhat early (if you call 3 early). That's a big problem for me. LB as you mentioned too. I just feel like we got some gadget type players with speed. Who can help you. But we didn't need that and we already have good starters there. So how much will they even play?
I thought we had like 11 picks? I guess we traded away 3? I know we traded one away

Playing ahead works for a lot of the season (I mean our run defense #s looked great when we were front-running scrub teams last year) but it falls apart in the playoffs.
