John Lynch - 49ers GM

I really think Pearsall could be an absolute badass. I'm not sure he'll stay healthy or have the longest career but I would be surprised if he has less than 600-700 yards next season. I could see 4-6 years with more than 700 yards of production. To me that's my floor expectation, he's f'ing good.

Yea. I am surprised that they didn't get a big fatty to stuff the run. Run defense gonna be suspect.

In the last 5 drafts we've taken McKivitz, Banks, Moore, Burford, Zakelj, and now have added Puni and Kingston. Drafted between the 2nd - 6th rounds, with most being day 3 guys. The problem is, we aren't getting guys who would be middle of the pack at their positions. Some may argue that we draft too low,but other teams are getting quality starters out of their later picks. We just haven't seen our guys amount to much. I can't fathom McKivitz getting much better. He's a swing tackle to me at this point. Moore and Burford are JAGS. Banks is an okay starter but not a world beater. Who knows what we have in Zakelj. We will see if Puni adds anything, bit to me our current guys have peaked.

On the draft, it looks really good. Should be more explosive and harder to neutralized on offense. But we likely will face the same PP issues. Maybe the plan is for a strong interior,which may help out McKivitz and Brock can step up to avoid the outsids rushers.

It seems we also didn't go for that true DJ Jones replacement. To their credit, this looks like it will be far better than 2022 and 2023. No longer looking for guys to develop. We have multiple immediate contributors and potentially an upgrade special teams unit.

Seriously. It's tough to love every pick in the draft and even if you do, some will always be whiffs. It was surprising to see the team draft 2 WRs though, I thought that position was one of their greatest strengths. I understand the BPA philosophy, and hope they fill other needs in FA.

at #31 tho is a great place to find top shelf centers. Kyle went from paying money for that dude from the giants and Alex Mack to brendel. Would have been nice to try to upgrade there.

overall draft seems ok. If we land a couple of contributors it will be considered a success.

Thing is the top shelf centers went 44 and 51. So the league as a whole saw them as mid 2 level.

I am not impressed with the draft picks at all. But I guess they know what they are doing thats why I'm on the couch and the are in the war room. But please other than Brock we don't need a repeat of the 2022 draft.
Looks like everyone is googly over the Rams and Cardinals and Seahags draft picks.

I'm hoping that having Huf back will help with that. The new DT we got should be good and Floyd is a much better edge setter than young. So we should be improved but who knows.

we have a lot of vets and even older rookies this year. Locker room will be interesting. Very interesting team for a third year qb to lead.
