Exactly why would they be drafting for the Tampa 2 defense? Lynch also played for Shanahan in Denver. Why would what scheme the GM ran as a player matter? The scheme is Shanahan's department.
I'm nowhere close to sure about our GM hiring but I'm sure about this. This is now Shanahan's baby. The only excitement that I still have is the report about Lynch being well networked in the NFL and will be able to construct a good personnel department.

Jeff Garcia as HC still sounds f**king stupid. Lynch acting as President of Football Operations and managing a front office structure, acting as the public face of the organization sounds a lot better.
