Thank you. That's a ton of bad draft picks. And it's the reason they had to rebuild the d line with free agents. You can clearly see the impact of bad drafting. It's pretty bleek when Spencer Burford is your best contributor from the last 3 drafts outside of Brock.

hes a figurehead. he is more media-friendly and can take the heat unlike Kyle who gets very defensive all the time

sure he can be fired but it doesnt really matter.

Lol at anyone still thinking John Lynch makes picks in lieu of Kyle who hired him
Kyle literally runs every aspect of this team but somehow Lynch is at fault on the draft picks.

This. I've always seen Lynch as being the PR face of the team while Kyle makes the calls.

Which one? You mean the last draft?

Other than Puni, who's a standout? The guy that can't beat Yiadom out? The guy that was shot? The guy that can't beat Bell out? Mustapha? Who?

Cowing is better than Bell but Kyle doesn't play rookies unless it's absolutely necessary. we just might see Cowing in Bell's role next week.

I mean I think its obvious.
We all heard stories about how Kyle would pick players who werent even on the draft board (Joe Williams infamous example).
There isnt such a story about John Lynch. Im sure he has some input just like the other coaches (ie Griese with Purdy) but Kyle has the final say on everything. And I mean everything.

This isn't a Baalke/Harbaugh situation where there is a power struggle.

Would that apply to Pearsall aswell if healthy?

Until Pearsall gets 2000 yards and 25 TDs this fan base will hate him. Then they'll think he's a stud, until his second contract. Then he'll get a big contract and he'll be hated again.

It's the 49er fan way.

Fail to see how that's relevant to my question but ok.

I'm not the person who posted the draft picks, but the reason one should leave out the most recent draft is because it's too early to judge it. The other drafts listed have 1,2, and 3 seasons to judge them.

I really hope the 2024 class turns out to be a blockbuster haul because we certainly need it.
My concern this offseason was that we were getting old across the board at almost the same rate… not just from an age standpoint but, more importantly, from the lens of team personality. Being the hard-nosed angry team that no one wants to play year after year with the same personnel that, collectively, have nothing to prove anymore (from the individuals perspective) is a hard thing to maintain.

hopefully we can find the fire as the season continues, but I really think we should do a partial overhaul next offseason. Out with the old, in with the new. And…. FAs are hard to hit on with this roster. Have to start drafting much better

And why leave out the rest of 2021...Banks, Demo, Huff, and Elijah
