You have to place blame on everyone, not just John, and Kyle, the players need to execute, if they aren't, then they shouldn't just get a pass, Brock was awful Sunday, compared to the first 6 games where 3 of his 4 INTs came off tipped balls.
How is safety f**ked up? Brown has promise, as does Mustapha, both are young, can't be mad at them developing, people want the team to develop young guys, but then when they play and don't play good now we should look for expensive replacements? Just saying as a whole for this fanbase, they think we should have a Pro Bowler at every spot when it's impossible to do, I agree C & RT suck, I want Feliciano back at C if/when he's back, as for Campbell, I didn't think he'd be bad, plus remember that Eric Kendricks backed out of the deal he agreed to, just to sign with the Cowboys, & took LESS MONEY too, as I said above all are to blame for being 3-4 right now, but this season isn't over just because we lost Aiyuk for the season, and Hargrave too, long season left, 11 weeks to go.
They should look to be trading for 1yr rentals for mid round picks, nothing like CMC trade, not that they f**ked that up cause CMC is still IMO the best RB in the NFL, idc that he has achilles tendonitis in both feet, he's still better than at least 95% of the backs in the NFL, IMO anyway.
What the f**k dude.
This roster has aged badly and what we really need is young talent but you want to hang on an utopia thinking that what we need are more old players to make a run compromising our cap situation even more with less picks to get those young players.
Rip the bandaid off and accept that this current roster won't win a Super Bowl and start a mini-rebuild next year with young players is what we have to do.
I know you always want to keep everyone but I just don't get why keeping together a roster full of aging players that have shown they can't win a Super Bowl is a good idea when the Chiefs are the ones winning the rings and even them don't keep everyone.
We already started our mini rebuild last year. Check out the contributions from the draft and UDFA's. Regarding the current roster, look at the list of key players injured and consider the implications.
I agree with both, but not to the extreme of Monster. You aren't the class of the NFL and then the following year you have aged badly. Doesn't compute. I do think we need to get guys that can replace our top guys, but easier said than done. I also think we have a couple holes that if plugged, we should be able to set the place in the NFC again.
1. Brock (as any QB would, but particularly one with his skillset) could outperform every QB in the league except one if we can get it right from LG-C-RG. We have a dude right now at RG. Banks is likely out but we can upgrade there too. And center is our worst position on the team right now. Trent, even if it's not peak Trent will still be top 5 next year. That is a clean enough pocket for Brock to avoid pressure from the right and pick defenses apart, even ones with elite D lines/players/playcallers because we finally would have an O line that can handle their own in obvious pass AND run situations.
2. Free safety. We need a real one. One that can play clean and take away the deep ball. Our very good corners could play riskier if we had great safety play to clean things up. Safety is also so undervalued that if we are going to spend on free agency, that's the spot. Then let Hufanga, Mustapha, Brown and perhaps another rookie battle it out for the other safety spot.
3. Special teams neglect. I will never understand how a team that uses 3rd round picks on kickers and 4th round picks on punters, places such little emphasis on special teams. Focus on getting a good coach and building an elite unit- same as they would want for offense of defense.
There is more we could do, but those 3 are feasible to correct in offseason if it's a priority.
