Buckner isn't coming here. Why would the Colts trade him right after giving him an extension this year?

Yes, when you can draft like that, why throw money away on high priced free agents? I wonder if Adam Peters' departure has anything to do with this? Whatever, it was a damned good draft.

This is the kind of draft cohort that sustains success for years. Nice work Lynch and co.
Next year let's strengthen that D-line!

Pearsall looks like he can make tough catches over the middle and showed some speed on the jet sweep. I think he's going to get better as the year progresses.
Green and Mustapha are getting valuable playing time in the secondary. Green will be big because C Ward is gone. He will likely start next year. Mustapha loos like a big hitter who has enough lateral speed/quickness to be a good cover guy.
Puni is going to be shoe in at G for the next decade.
Guerendo is rapidly improving to the point where I think he needs to continue to get touches, even if CMC is back and Mason is healthy. His acceleration is very reminiscent of Mostert (maybe not quite as fast).
Cowing just needs opportunities. As a PR guy I don't really trust him, though.
Also Evan Anderson is technically a rookie. He is playing meaningful snaps on the D line.

I am always the cynic but again need to say this is looking like an awesome draft class. One we desperately needed. Thumbs up to Lynch and Kyle for this.

Yep solid draft class. If they continue to improve it will give the 49ers flexibility in the cap.

I also agree we need another WR and run stuffing DL. What will the compensation for someone like Diontae Johnson, Davin Godchaux? We also should be getting back CMC, Greenlaw, Hufanga and Feliciano sometime this season.

This. Looking forward to seeing them gain even more game experience, contributing, and building their confidence while they continue to acclimate to the NFL.

Honestly I don't think we need a WR: Deebo, JJ, Pearsall, Cowing, Conley, Bell.. WE are still 4 deep with a decent player in Conley. I hate Bell. Like others I want to see Cowing in more. His speed can open up this offense.

Good post!
If we can get 2025 draft like this one we'll be doing very well.
