Alexander, Smith, Hargreave have all been injury prone busts.

The players who held out and Lynch paid like Deebo and Bosa (I won't include Aiyuk yet) have looked content and played below their contracts.

This year they gave in to Williams, CMC and BA. None of those guys are now playing.

At some point Lynch has to grow some balls and trade them.

Free Agency is a lot like the draft. Hit or miss and most are misses. But yet if we don't sign a bunch of free agents the fans lose there mind.

Just look at the top 10 free agents of 2023 according to a nfl.com article i found and look how they turned out.

1. Hargrave - Did ok in SF but injuries have made the contract not worth it
2. Orlando Brown - Bust. pff ranks him 87th out of 133 tackles. Yikes
3. Deandre Hopkins - Meh. past his prime
4. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson - Hit. He's always been good but he's also head case so not every team will have him on their radar
5. James Bradberry - Bust. benched after a horrible 2023
6. Jesse Bates - Hit
7. Mike McGlinchey - meh. He was ok here but fans didnt like him bc he wasnt all pro so they complained everyday. Sure would be nice to have him now.
8. DreMont Jones - not that good. 5 sacks in 2023 and 3 so far this year.
9. Zach Allen - Meh
10. Odell Beckham - bust

One thing I've always fel about free agents. Why isn't their team trying to sign him? Is it just beause of the cap hit or do they think he's no longer worth the money. You always need to do your do diligence and check out any free agent before trying to sign him. Buyer beware!

Any chance in heck we can package our first, a player, and additional picks to move up and get Travis Hunter? Asking for John Lynch
By Travis Hunter, you mean Jeanty right

My guess is the two offensive tackles will be long gone by our pick, but man if Jeanty is there .... we can always get a run stuffing DT in the second or third. lol

I think they need to resist drafting a skill player in the first round and concentrate on beefing up the lines. That's assuming there's a good O or D lineman sitting there.

Oh I 100% agree and that's always been my motto, but I am human and imperfect. You cannot tell me if Jeanty was sitting there you wouldn't be at least a little bit tempted? This is what I think AllTheTime was eluding to lol

My guess is the top offensive and defensive linemen are gone by our pick and I am reading this is a deep defensive line draft so ... if he is BPA I say F it and take it! IMO rd 1 should almost always be BPA. Then 2-6 are bpa meets need, or bpa at a position of need etc.

Yeah, the biggest gripe was picking needs, well let's go with BPA !

Yes, and we get it. If a top rated OT is there or DT ok..... that makes sense, as we pretty much all agree those are areas of need (as of today), but if not then take BPA. Especially round 1. Taking a late rd1 or early rd 2 prospect at say 15 because of need, when someone like Jeanty who is a top 10 talent fell....would stupid to do.

If there are 4 OT and 4 DT in the next tier, sure lets attack that in the next few rounds etc.

That's why I'm hoping we can fill most our needs with some good FAs.. then the Draft will be like Xmas.. instead of it being a chore

"By the way, I got players who called me after and said, 'Hey, we've heard you talk about this alter-ego John Lynch, this 47 Red character. Man, we saw it. That dude is crazy.' They all saw it firsthand."

I can't believe fans still eat up this PR s**t John does with his media friends. If John went "crazy" on Campbell, Campbell would have whooped his old ass. Especially if Campbell is on the edge knowning he was getting himself cut with this career probably over.

I like John and what he and his FO does for the team, but this 47 Red alter-ego is just as real as Alex Smith's rugged corndog s**t.

Those were anonymous sources.. and supposedly ex-teammates.. NOT our current players. But yes I can believe John was a psycho on the field, and in the locker room when he played. But post career John? Executive John? Na. Yes he is a no nonsense leader of a GM and that is what I like about him. But this unhinged scary 47 Red alter-ego? Na.. I feel people around John know his personality. His intensity. No alter-ego needed.

What difference does it make. They're taking action and suspending him for the final 3 games. My guess is he'll appeal it. He'll try to claim he was sick or something.

Not much difference, but I can certainly see Lynch going ape s**t on him for this and IMO he wont win any appeal unless he proves he has CTE lol

Well he shouldn't win any appeal but the league along with the players association has stepped in many times and reduced fines or suspensions. They're afraid of lawsuits and any bad publicity. That's what the NFL has become. A giant PR machine.

So you believe that after he refused to play, he would've assaulted John Lynch with a minimum of 70 witnesses. Got it.
